Chapter 4- Call Me Maybe

I open my eyes and Sam's golden hair is still lying on my chest. The bright light coming from the window makes me squint and I start to get up, accidently waking Sam up.

"What's up" he asks

"Dude what time is it" I ask rubbing my eyes.

I walk to the other side of the room and retrieve my boxers and jeans. I reach into the pocket and grab my cellphone. When I flip it open, it reads 10:20am.

"Sam we slept all night" I yell "We have to hurry"

Sam rushes out of bed. I stare at his unclothed body. As he trots across the room, I watch his penis sway back and forth. I snap out of it and put my jeans on. That's when I realize that I wore these clothes yesterday.

"Sam" I say "can I borrow a shirt dude"

"Yeah sure" He says and grabs a white shirt from the closet he is foraging in and tosses it to me.

"Thanks" I say and pull the shirt over my head "hurry up and I'll give you a ride"

Sam quickly throws a shirt and some jeans on. We rush out the door and hop into my black Chevy cavalier. We buckle our seatbelts and I back out of the driveway.

"That was crazy last night wasn't it" Sam asks me.

"Um ya" I stall "that's going to stay between us right"

"Ya sure" Sam says but seems that he is a little unconfident.

I turn the volume of my radio up and start singing:

"I threw a wish in the well,

Don't ask me, I'll never tell

I looked to you as it fell,

And now you're in my way"

"Hey is that what you're gonna sing for this week's assignment" Sam asks

"I don't know" I say "I might not do this assignment"

"We could do" Sam suggests "Payphone by Maroon 5 together"

I turn to Sam and give him a glare. He knows what I'm saying in my mind. That would just be to "look at me I'm gay". I turn away and continue to sing,

"Hey, I just met you,

And this is crazy,

But here's my number,

So call me, maybe?"

The thought of Jake returns to my mind. Why can't I get him out of my mind? I pull into William McKinley High School and park in a teacher parking spot. I don't care today. I turn off the car and look to my right out my window. There he is, Jake.
