A Fresh Start

Chapter 36

Rose's POV:

I am sitting on my bed while Gabe is downstairs kicking Conner out, which I don't understand because when Gabe got here he knocked Conner out, and getting me some ice. I'm really tired, but Gabe told me NOT to go to sleep. I lay back because everything is killing me, my eyes, my head, my stomach, my legs, EVERYTHING. I don't realize I'm cying until I feel my arm get wet. I hear Gabe  come in and he lays an ice pack on my forehead.

"Thanks."I cringe as the cold stings my head.He looks at me worriedly but I give him a small smile.

"We need to talk."He says.

"Okay, what about?"I manage to get out.

"Hayes.....And Conner...and Nova"He responds.

I am about to get up and ask what about them, but my eyelids grow unbearably heavy and darkness consumes me.The last thing I see is Hayes busting in the door.

Hayes's POV:(I know it has been awhile!)

I am still at the club with everyone, but I can't seem to find Rose.I look EVERYWHERE for her. Finally, I give up and go to Savannah.

"Hey do you know where Rose went?"I asked. I saw she was dancing with Will.

"Home!"She yelled and turned back to Will.Okay?I turn on my heels and call a cab. I need to talk to Rose NOW.

I'm riding in the cab and all I can think about is what I'm going to say to Rose.All I know is that I HAVE to win her back. I don't care how long it takes.Before I know it, we arrive at her house.I see another car and recognize it as Gabe's.huh.I shrug it off and go inside. The door's unlocked, Rose NEVER leaves her door unlocked. I rush upstairs and bust into her room with out even thinking,I see Rose and Gabe on her bed. Rose is laying backwards, and Gabe looks worried. I rush over and see that Rose isn't awake, and looks beat up.

"YOU JACKASS!wHAT DID YOU DO?!"I yell at Gabe.

"NOTHING!"He screams back.I shake my head and call 911. Gabe is also on the phone, most likly with the others. The ambulance arrives and the respondants put Rose on a stretcher, se still isn't awae and her breathing has slowed. I am crying my eyes out and I ridein the stretcher. Gabe takes his car.I grab Rose's hand, and she's so cold.

"Rose, if you can hear m, I love you. Please, you CAN'T leave. I don't know what I would do without you. Everyone loves you and they wuld be devestated without you. Gosh! I am such an idiot! I should've been there. I should've protected you. Please baby, just wake up. I would do anything just to see you wake up, open your eyes, smile, laugh, and just be happy. I love you."I say and kiss her cold hand. We arrive at the hospital and the paramedics rush her into the ICU. I am so worried about her. I love her. I LOVE ROSE WINTER! I hear the doors open and a bunch of footsteps, I turn to see the guys and girls coming in with worried faces. Some are obviously drunk, some, on the other hand, are not. I also see Gabe.

"YOU BASTARD!THIS IS YOUR FAULT!YOU HURT HER!WHAT DID YOU DO?"I screamed. I don't know what happened exactly, but I do know that he was the one I saw with Rose when....you know.

"Woah, Hayes, calm down! I'm sure Gabe didn't do anything, right Gabe?" Dana says.

"Right, Hayes, Con-"

"Stop! Just,,, just stop."

"Rose Winter?"The nurse asks.We all look at her.

"I-is she okay?"Nova asks.She's crying, but I can sense it's not just about Rose. SHe's been distant from COle, but COl keeps looking at her apologeetically and ful of regret.

"She's awake but-"We rush to her room.

"Rose!"Savannah screams and runs to hug her. Before they can make contact, Rose puts up her hands.

"Who are you and who is Rose?"She asks.What?

"What?"Savannah asks, on the verge of crying.

"I don't know who you or this Rose person is."Rose replies with a confused look. Will rushes over and gives the, now-crying, Savannah a hug.

"Rose...Tha-"
" DON'T KNOW WHO ANY OF YOU ARE OR WHO THIS ROSE PERSON IS, PLEASE LEAVE!"Rose says. Half of every one is crying and I feel like barfing. The girl I love is sitting in a hospital bed, and can't even remember my name...
