When Hazel came into Annabeth's room, she practically screamed when she saw Percy in her bed.
Percy and Annabeth bolted awake, looking at Hazel as if they were extremely guilty of something.
"What is going on in here?" Hazel asked as Percy bolted out of the room.
"Percy was having a hard time sleeping so he came in here." Annabeth said quickly, walking behind a screen and getting dressed. "It's not what you think it was."
"If you say so. You better hurry up though. King Jupiter wants you and Prince Perseus to address the people."
"Of course he does..." Annabeth said, grabbing a ribbon from her bag and tying her hair back.
"Let's go!" Hazel said, pushing Annabeth forward as she walked outside, meeting Reyna, Jason, and King Jupiter outside.
"What took you so long?" Reyna asked curiously, standing behind her pegasus in a chariot that Jason and King Posidon were also sitting in.
"We slept in." Annabeth said quickly as Frank and Percy flew outside.
"Sorry we're late, your majesty." Percy apologized. "Annabeth is one of the few people I know who's actually been out of Halfling before, so I was getting homesick. I went to talk with Annabeth and we both fell asleep in her room."
"Are you two dating?" Reyna asked.
"No!" Percy and Annabeth said as Jason and Reyna shared a knowing look.
"So, Perseus, Annabeth, we were talking about your combat training before we got so rudely interrupted."
Annabeth looked over at Percy cautiously. "We have no combat training."
"But how did you get the antidote then?"
"Well, we followed a map that Percy made, we met this tree fairy named Rachel who helped us find some mermaids who led us to the Cave of Reflection-"
"If you're not going to tell us how you did it, then don't say anything at all."
"Actually, sir, Annabeth is telling the truth." Percy said honestly. "As for my end, I was trapped in a cage with my younger brother and my best friend until Annabeth's friend Thalia-"
"Don't mention that name." King Jupiter said angrily.
"Why?"
"Father, you don't-" Jason started to ask.
"Just don't mention that name again." King Jupiter said, slamming his fist down on the front of the chariot.
"Your majesty, the citizen of Romanacus!" Frank said happily.
Annabeth peered over the edge and saw nobody waiting below. King Jupiter laughed nervously. "I guess everyone is busy."
"No we aren't!"
Reyna walked over to Annabeth and Percy. "There will be more people tomorrow."
"No there won't!"
As Annabeth turned around, King Jupiter was standing behind her. The tip of Annabeth's wing knocked over King Jupier's crown. Once she realized what she did, Annabeth jumped over the edge to grab the crown, accidentally attaching herself to King Jupiter's sleeve as the two flew down to grab the crown.
"You idiot girl!" King Jupiter said angrily. "Perhaps you beat the Titans by tripping over them!"
"Father, you're being unreasonable!" Jason said, flying down to meet them. "Clearly, that was an accident. Annabeth didn't mean to do that."
"Your crown?" Annabeth said, holding the crown out as a peace offering.
King Jupiter snatched the grown out of Annabeth's grasp and angrily flew back to the castle by himself. Jason helped Annabeth up. "I am so sorry about him Annabeth."
"I messed up big time, didn't I?" Annabeth said sadly.
"Trust me, I've seen him angrier than that before. You're good." Jason said, looking up at Reyna and Percy. "We should probably get headed back up to the castle."
Annabeth nodded, flying up with Jason. When they landed, Percy grabbed Annabeth's hand. "Are you okay? That was... Quite the tumble."
Annabeth laughed a bit. "Well, that was a lot less scary that dealing with a sea beast."
"You seem to have gone on a lot of adventures." Reyna noticed.
"No... It's the same adventure." Annabeth said, smiling nervously as the group started flying back to the castle.
"So you met mermaids, dealt with a sea beast, and fought against the Titans all in the same journey?"
"Pretty much. Like Percy and I have been saying, it's a long story."
"I know I'd like to hear it." Reyna said happily.
"I would too, even if my father doesn't." Jason agreed. "Will you tell us at some point?"
"When you have time to listen to it, I'd be more than happy to explain my part. Thalia has more or less explained what happened when I was gone and it mainly involved her going to the swamp again and spying on our ex friend."
Jason smiled sadly. "Well, I know I'd like to hear every last detail."
"We'll tell you when you have the time!" Percy said happily.
"Of course." Reyna said, hopping off of her pegasus. "Jason, we better head inside before King Jupiter yells at us."
"Right." Jason said, waving goodbye as the two walked inside.
"Annabeth, are you seriously okay?"
Annabeth shrugged. "I... I think so."
"Annabeth..."
"He called me an idiot!" Annabeth said helplessly.
"You know you aren't one." Percy said, gripping Annabeth's hand tightly as they approached the front doors. "You are the smartest fairy I have ever met. There's a reason why you're my Wise Girl."
"I'm your Wise Girl?" Annabeth asked teasingly.
"I... I mean..."
"Thanks Seaweed Brain." Annabeth said, blushing a bit. "I think I'm gonna go try and make my room more homey."
"I'll come by later to get my bundle."
"Okay." Annabeth said, letting go of Percy's hand and wishing that she could just forget this whole day ever happened.
