As Thalia flew outside the palace, she just shook her head. "Try to contact Prince Perseus, she says. How in the world am I supposed to contact the guy if I don't even know what he looks like!?"

"I brought his favorite flowers." Thalia heard Luke say below her as Thalia hid behind one of the palace's giant tree branches. "King Poseidon always loved it when I decorated the throne room."

"You are a good friend, Luke." Lord Chiron said as the two flew inside the palace. Thalia flew to one of the windows, watching the exchange between the two people go down.

The two kept talking until Lord Chiron flew away. Before Thalia followed him, hoping that he would lead her to the prince, Thalia said Luke slip something into King Poseidon's mouth. Thinking that it was odd, Thalia followed Lord Chiron until he stopped in a room with three people behind a caged bed.

As soon as Lord Chiron let them be for a moment, flying off to go deal with something, Thalia tapped on the window and got the oldest boy's attention since he was trying to pick a lock.

Percy looked at the strange girl as she said something, but then shrugged when he couldn't understand a word. The girl rolled her eyes, the slowed down one word she was saying. After a couple seconds, Percy seemed to get what she was saying. "Annabeth? Did Annabeth send you?"

Thalia nodded, and once she saw Lord Chiron coming she ducked behind a wall. Lord Chiron came back in with three plates on a tray. "I forgot to bring you boys dinner."

"Thank you, Lord Chiron." Grover said nervously, grabbing the tray as he tried to advert his gaze to the section of wall the girl was hiding behind just outside the window.

"Is everything okay in here? I thought I heard something..." Lord Chiron asked.

"Everything's fine." Percy said quickly.

"Except," Tyson said, picking at his food. "We were hoping for a little fresh air. Could you open up the window?"

"I'm afraid not. We must keep them shut for your own protection."

"But we'll be safe with you in here, right?" Percy asked, catching onto the plan that Tyson had made.

"I... Suppose so." Lord Chiron said, opening up the giant window. Seeing an opportunity, Thalia quietly flew into the room behind him, quietly landing on the ground and started to sneak behind him. Lord Chiron continued talking to Percy, his voice sounding like he had said this same speech before. "We are doing everything we can to comfort your father."

"But if you only let us out using the key." Percy said, motioning to Lord Chiron as the girl paused for a moment, giving Percy a confused look. Percy sighed slightly.

"We cannot take the risk, Prince Perseus."

"I understand, but if you let us out using the key on your belt, Tyson and I could comfort our father ourselves." The girl finally seemed to get it as she snuck over to Lord Chiron, her hand slightly outstretched as she aimed for his belt.

"I understand that, but right now it is more important that we keep you and your brother safe."

"I understand." Percy said sadly.

"You do?" Lord Chiron asked as the girl inched her way forward.

"And I respect you for everything you do in this castle."

"Well, it is my duty." Lord Chiron said, walking away as the girl narrowly missed the key. "And it is one that I take very seriously."

Percy nodded his head towards Lord Chiron as he started walking in the same direction, the girl following his lead. Grover and Tyson watched the scene unfold with curiosity. "Of course. Has there... You know, been any change?"

"Not yet," Lord Chiron said as the girl missed the key once again. "But I remain hopeful."

"It is your hope that sustains us, Lord Chiron." Percy said as the girl finally grabbed the key, flying up to hide in the giant chandelier dangling above them.

"Why thank you, Prince Perseus."

"Will you let me know if there are any changes?"

"Of course." Lord Chiron said, closing the window as he left the room.

The girl flew down, key in hand as she unlocked the door. "So you're Prince Perseus?"

"Just call me Percy." Percy begged. "And you're a friend of Annabeth's?"

"I'm Thalia." Thalia said, opening the door as the three boys walked out.

"I thought I recognized you!" Grover said happily. "You're that girl that always hangs out with Luke at parties, right?"

Thalia nodded. "Yeah. Luke, Annabeth, and I are all childhood friends."

"So Annabeth is that blonde girl with the blue and grey wings I always see Luke talk to?" Tyson asked.

"Yeah."

Tyson nudged Percy. "She's pretty cute, bro."

"Enough, Tyson." Percy said, looking over at Thalia. "Do you have anywhere we can hide? Once Lord Chiron finds out we escaped, he's gonna go crazy looking for us."

"My bosses are with Annabeth right now finding that antidote thing. They're on the nicer side of town. That work?"

"It should." Grover said, opening the window. "Now come on before someone sees!"

"Wait!" Thalia said, looking at everyone nervously. "I think I know who poisoned the king."

"Who?" Percy asked anxiously.

"Luke." Thalia explained, some slight horror in her voice. "When I was spying on Lord Chiron, I saw him force your father to drink something. I don't know what it was, but I have a bad feeling that it's that it's that poison you and Annabeth were going on about. Ilios, right?"

Percy weighed his options, looking at the flowers. "We'll deal with that later. Father won't die tonight. Right now, we gotta get out of the castle. Take us to your boss's place."

"You got it." Thalia said, showing the three the way, hoping that Annabeth was faring better than she currently was.
