"We've been flying for ages!" Rachel complained. "How long until we get to the monster's mouth?"
"We don't even know what the monster's mouth is." Clarisse reminded everyone. "How are we supposed to fly into it to get to the Cave of Reflection if we don't even know what the thing looks like?"
"I think I found it..." Annabeth said, stopping in midair, staring through the fog.
"How can you be so sure?" Silena asked cautiously.
"Maybe because it looks like a Titan, it's carved into the side of the mountain on front of us, and, oh yeah, it's mouth is open." Annabeth said, pointing to a structure as the fog faded, revealing a Titan carved into the rock.
"That has to be it!" Piper said positively. "What are we waiting for, let's go!"
The five fairies flew towards the open mouth of the cave, then all quickly flew back down.
"Um... We're waiting to the Titans sleeping inside to leave!" Silena hissed.
"We don't have time to wait." Annabeth said, hovering back up as she looked at everyone. "I'm going in with or without you. Halfling is counting on this."
"I think you mean that Prince Perseus is counting on this." Clarisse said, rolling her eyes a bit. "I'm in."
"Who's Prince Perseus?" Rachel asked excitedly.
"The reason we're on this crazy goose chase." Piper said, smiling at Annabeth. "I'm in."
"I'm in too!" Rachel said excitedly. "You guys are the first friends I've had in a while."
The fairies all looked over at Silena expectantly. After a minute, Silena sighed heavily. "Fine. I'm in."
"Don't make a sound." Annabeth said, taking a deep breath as she flew inside the cave, not even daring to look behind her as she flew straight into the hole in the cave on the opposite wall. Once she was inside, she turned around and watched as the others flew inside. Annabeth paused for a moment, noticing that someone was missing. "Where's Rachel!?"
Everyone looked around, wide eyed as Annabeth peered outside the hole, noticing that Rachel was frozen in fear as Titans around her started to stir around her. Annabeth turned back to the group. "Everyone, stay here. I'm gonna go get Rachel."
"Are you crazy!?" Silena asked. "You're gonna get yourself killed! We don't have much time left!"
Annabeth pulled out the small orb, looking as the glow was growing fainter and fainter. "This is still bright enough distract the Titans. We're gonna make it."
"Annabeth!" Piper hissed as Annabeth flew out of the hole and over to Rachel.
"Come on!" Annabeth said, grabbing Rachel's arm as the two quickly flew towards the door.
"There's a butterfly fairy in here!" One of the Titans yelled as Annabeth ripped the orb off of her neck and held it above her head.
"That's a bright light!"
"Just ignore it!" A Titan yelled, diving down to get the two as Rachel pulled a blue brush out of the snack bag and threw it at the Titan's eye, causing him to fly away in pain as Annabeth and Rachel made it inside the cave.
"Who put that brush in the snack bag?" Clarisse said as the group flew up the tunnel.
"I did." Piper said sheepishly.
"Well, good thinking!" Rachel said, flying right next to Piper. "That thing saved our lives!"
"What was that you said about the prince casting a spell on that necklace so that it couldn't come off your neck?" Silena asked cryptically.
Annabeth nervously laughed. "I may have lied about that..."
Silena grabbed the orb out of Annabeth's hand, forcing Annabeth to stop as she retyed the necklace onto Annabeth's neck. She smiled at Annabeh confidently. "Maybe the prince was right to send you on this quest."
Annabeth smiled back. "We're almost there. Let's hurry, the king doesn't have much time left."
