The dance floor is big all in all. There is a buffet on the left side, from steaks to vegetables. There is also a big fountain of wine for light weights and a big barrel of beer for heavyweights. Heavyweights are different from alcoholics. Alcoholics cannot control the amount of alcohol they drink but heavyweights love to drink a lot of alcohol.
Mr. Delton hung around his students for a while before leaving to smoke. The students dispersed one by one as the time passes. Some going back to there rooms to sleep since they were just forced to attend the dance by Mr. Delton. Some are heading to the buffet. Some are dancing at the dance floor either with their group of friends or their significant other or just some random person they talked to.
December and Clark are sitting by their table looking at the people dancing to the music. Luis and Sophia left to find some guys while Maverick is with Antonio again.
"This would make a good concept in a book. Starry night, couples dancing, kids fighting the urge to fall asleep on the event, delicious foods and beverages at the side."
"You sure love writing books," December says, sipping from his glass of mango juice
"Of course. It has and always will be a part of my life. The way I bring entertainment to my readers. That's the best reward I could ask for rather than money." Clark answers, smiling at the distance.
"Would you write a book about the two of us?" December asks, leaning on the table
"Maybe. I'll think about it." Clark answers
The song slowly fades away then the song 'My Heart Will Go On' from the famous movie Titanic played on the background. Everyone is swaying their hips along with the slow and soothing melody of the song.
"Would you dance with me?" Clark asks, holding his hand out to the shocked lady sitting across him.
December gabbed it and they walked together to the dance floor. Clark placed his hand by December's waist tickling her a bit making her laugh, then the other holds her hand.
They swayed slowly to the music, not minding the other couples around them. It's as if they are in their own dimension where no one can disturb them.
December rested her head on Clark's chest as the song plays on, listening to Clark's heartbeat slowly beating they get lost in their thoughts.
"I wish we could stay like this forever," December says
Clark didn't say anything and just danced they're quietly, listening to December.
"I don't want this to stop. The dance. The way you are holding me, making me feel secure and calm between your arms. The romantic scenery and the songs. I just wish that this wouldn't end."
The music slowly transitions from 'My Heart Will Go On' to 'Get You the Moon' by Kina.
As the night progresses, people exit the dance floor pair by pair until only Clark and December are left on the dance floor. Swaying slowly to each song. Enjoying the moment. People started to watch them gracefully dance like they are born to waltz on the dance floor. Moving from one spot to the other. Not minding the people watching them.
"Do you want to go now, Clark?" December asks, still leaning on Clark's chest.
"Not yet. You said you wish that this moment wouldn't end so I' mm granting you that wish." Clark whispers at her ears, sending shivers down her spine.
As the song comes to an end Clark and December bowed down followed by the spectator's applause.
"That was nice," Clark says as they go back to their table, still holding December by the hand and only let's go as the sat down. "So did your wish come true?"
