"I thought when I agreed to this questionnaire I would have been showed some hospitality." I tilted my head downward to the heavy shackles that weighed down my wrist, shaking the chains to signify my point.
"You do realize your our enemy, that chews flesh like beef jerky right? No offense, but hell no to your damn southern comfort!" Darren let out a little scoff that made me want to claw out his eyes only so I could make him watch as I skin him. Wow just the thought of that makes my stomach growl.
"Would it make you feel better if I promised not to eat you?"
"No."
Rachel entered the room waving off Daren while simultaneously bringing in another minion. She was short unlike Rachel with dark skin and heavy cheeks that helped her maintain and innocent child look, perfect for luring in the bait. Back in the days we used to use those types to get our unsuspecting dinner, didn't want to risk using an actual youngster and having them cry as guilt racked their tiny bodies.
"Jaime Young is it? I'm Alexis I'll be watching over you from now on." She smiled flashing me a set of crystal white teeth with a small chip indented into her left canine, perfect from afar like most things, but when you get to close you realize all the flaws, and bare witness to the faults that linger within the facade.
"I'd shake your hand, but I'd probably bite it off, ya know being hungry and all." her smiled slowly dropped as she turned to Rachel, almost as if she was asking for permission to speak.
"Well dinner is at 8 o'clock so you better get ready now half an hour before the Alpha and his Beta arrive."
"I'm sorry what?"
"Oh yes Sebastian and Elij-"
"It is Alpha and Beta to you runt, nothing else now take her upstairs and not another word, got it?" Rachels eyes became slivers of blackness as she spat the words between gritted teeth, the stench of fear became very palpable in the room as Alexis made her way over to me.
As we made our ways deeper into the basement Alexis pointed to makeshift closet turned apparent room, pointing she led me in informing me of what's to come.
"Alpha Sebastian and Beta Elijah are very busy men so the 'interrogation' will have to be done during dinner, so if you are hell bent on staying alive don't cause a scene and answer all questions, understand?"
I nodded my head watching as she quickly exited the room leaving me with nothing more than a mirror and mattress to keep me company.
