Bloody Baroness

Chapter 7

"Jaime, would you please look at me?" His voice was rough and brawny, vaguely reminding me of a college boy I ate once, but of course I obliged turning my head his way meeting a set of wide hazel eyes with bushy brows that hung above. His pale skin was covered in moles and beauty marks all kisses given to him by angels, at least that's what my mother told me when I was bullied for mine at school.

"Alpha Sebastian how nice to finally meet you, oh what great things I've heard about you." A smile creeped onto my lips as my hands begin to shake under the table.

He smiled, a genuine one giving a gentle nod to acknowledge. "As have you, you took down seven of my men, killing one in the process." My heart dropped and my hands became numb as I looked him in his eyes only to quickly divert my attention back to the wall. "No worries Ms. Young I understand where you come from, and how things can get a bit chaotic, especially when one feels threatened, right?" I nod just as he did only this time it didn't contain the same grace and confidence his did.

"You are quite respectful for a rogue from the Waxing Gibbous pack."
"We might have the tendencies of our beast that lurks beneath, but we show respect when it is deserved."
"Hmmmm."
"I understand you are to be questioning me, but I do have one for you, if you don't mind?"
"Go on."
"I hid my tracks well, my scent was-"
"Ahh you referring to the witch who placed the glamour on you, a couple of my people discovered her carving up humans in the bathroom of a retail store, they simply dispatched her, then you were discovered....."
"A small price to pay for glamour spell"

"Is that so?" I chewed the insides of my lip, wanting nothing more than to taste the copper flavor that is blood, it soothes my nerves, but only briefly before it all comes swooping back in.

"Initially we were interested in the location of your witch, but know that we know where you hail from where more interested as to where you pack is holding up at." My head felt light as he leaned in, my blood sinking to my feet following the flow of gravity.

"With all due respect I can't tell you."
"And why's that?"
My breath caught in my throat as my hands grew cold a pulsing pain banged on my head as so many thoughts flooded in.

"Interesting.." I snapped my attention to him as he sits back. "Your pack already made its presents know, they'll be attending the Luna Moon ball this decade, and what's intrigues me is the fact that you didn't know. You have well enough connections to get yourself a witch, your mannered like a high ranking official, and trained like one too, which leaves me confused as to why a girl so well off in your position would ever want to leave and go rogue."

"I'm hungry."
