I lingered around the office until I felt prepared enough to leave. I made my way through the empty parking garage only to discover my car missing. The light went out and I could feel my blood pumping, the hunger building deep within me, the rage ready to reach the surface and bottle over. A hand swung at me only to meet nothing but air, another attempted to strike me in the back but yet again their fist met nothing. That was until a swift sweep of a leg knocked me on my back taking the breath from my lungs along with them, my blood ran hot and I unleashed it all. Fist began to fly harder kicks began to land as scratches where being shared amongst one another in the darkness of this garage. The thunder roared in the background with glints of lighting striking in the distance providing me with only a peek at my attackers. One pulled my hair only to slam my face into a cement pole, I could feel the crimson liquid flow down my nose, my mouth taste of iron and a chaotic state overcame me, with movements becoming animalistic as anger overcame my being. With a single blow delivered all seemed to be over, my breath became aggressive as my lungs screamed for air, I heaved slightly for the sensation I feel has been dormant for a while. The lights flicker on and seven bodies bloody and broken lay before me.
"Surprising restraint for a member of the Waxing Gibbous." Her voice is soft and sweet, but with the way she spoke her words told a story of anything but.
My head snapped up too look at the female voice only for the world to turn black the instant our eyes met.
"Isn't it ironic that she comes from a culture that's known for eating dogs and a pack that's know for eating humans? It like double the freak right?"
"Can you shut the hell up?"
"God, know look what you did you woke the psycho up, man I didn't want to be down here when this thing woke up, what if she bites off my fingers?!"
"We never ate the fingers we gave it to the pigs and whatever bones were left we fashioned them into toys for the children, fun little things to play with." My voice came out in one breathe with a rasp gripping to it as the lack of hydration began to hit me.
"Jesus your sick!" I glanced up at the voice speaking it was a man, young and buff with a brown bowl of a haircut that made him look like a 'Beetles' reject. I smiled at him snapping my teeth for effect watching him cower behind air. My head turned to the female voice that I encountered in the parking lot she was a tall slender woman with a face that reminded me much of my mother, her high cheek bones especially. Every time she spoke she always managed to look down through her pointed nose. Her short black hair constantly as well as inconveniently got in her way making her seem softer and less intimidating, which I found to be quite adorable. She looked nothing more than a few years younger than me, and her fellow 'comrade' was of only a plain mindless brute, no doubt used for a representation of the ideal solider for the Full Moon pack.
"We hit you with multiple tranqs back there, it was only until the fifth one that you collapsed." She eyed me with a curious glimmer watching me under suspicion as I rolled me head from side to side. I watched as the brute leaned over and in a not so hushed voiced 'whispered,' "Probably cause she's a little chunky, from eating all them people!" I glanced down at my frame nodding along in agreement. "Look if you could just explain to me what this is all about I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have, but from the looks of it it seems you have it all figured out."
"Rachel, that's my name and that's Darren he's an idiot if you couldn't tell." I hummed along in acknowledgment watching his brows furrow in dismay. "We know your pack exist and our leaders have some questions they would like to ask, if you comply your death will be swift and painless, if not Darren would be more than happier to deliver the alternative options."
"What do you want to know?"
