The next day, Yoshiba High was full of the clamoring and cheers of students, for this year's senior's dance had been announced the previous day, and almost everyone in the senior classes was looking for a date to take dancing.

Many of the boys were trying their luck with the prettiest girls in school just to look good during the dance. Others asked girls they really had special feelings for. Of course a lot of girls were expecting and waiting for boys to ask them themselves.

Kyosuke, Takeru and Ichiro were walking in the school grounds trying to figure out what to make of the situation at hand. All three except Takeru of course. He had already succeeded in convincing Mio to go to the dance with him. The two other boys were at a loss though.

"Yo, what is wrong with you guys today?" Takeru asked the two.

"Well, um..." said Kyosuke nervously. "Asking Risa to the dance? Haven't we already went on enough dates to get, you know, serious with our relationship?"

"Dude," said Takeru, taking Kyosuke by the shoulder, "this dance only happens once in a lifetime. You wouldn't wanna miss this."

"B-But," said Kyosuke hesitantly, "What if she says no?"

"Kyosuke, Kyosuke, Kyosuke," said Takeru, shaking his head. "When has Risa-chan ever said no to you?"

"That's not what I meant," replied Kyosuke. "I know Risa is really popular with the boys."

"You got that right," said Takeru with a smirk as he rested the back of his head on his joined hands. "I mean just look at the size of that--"

Kyosuke gave Takeru a furious glare.

"Ah...!" uttered Takeru, smiling awkwardly. "Please continue."

"What I meant," continued Kyosuke. "was, she probably already said yes to one of the dozen hopefuls who asked her to go with them."

"Dude, stop looking for excuses," said Takeru. "She's probably waiting for you to ask her yourself."

Kyosuke looked at Takeru with an expression of curiosity.

"T-Takeru-kun?" said Ichiro.

"Yeah, bud?" replied Takeru.

"D-Do you think Yukie-chan would go with me if I asked her?" asked Ichiro quite nervously.

"Oh, so you're interested, eh?" said Takeru with a snort. "See, Kyosuke? Ichiro's manning up for Yukie. What about you?"

"Just you wait," said Kyosuke with a slight sneer. "I'll ask her."

"When?" said Takeru with a grin.

"Just you wait," retorted Kyosuke.

"I-I'll meet up with you guys later," said Ichiro with a wave as he hastily walked away from them.

"You gonna ask her now?" said Takeru, eyes and mouth widened into a smile. "My man!"

Ichiro ignored Takeru's last statement and headed towards the direction of the main school building.

"You better make your move sooner or later, Kyosuke," said Takeru. "This may be your last chance to get to dance with Risa-chan. Later, bro." He waved at him before he walked away and headed a different direction.

Kyosuke stood still and uttered a sigh.

"Can't believe I'm saying this, but he's right," thought Kyosuke. "I should probably be looking for Risa right now. This could be my last chance." He then continued walking in hopes of running into Risa herself.

A few hours later at lunch break, Ichiro and Yukie were voluntarily cleaning the classroom. Ichiro didn't have the nerve to ask Yukie to the dance in front of many people, so he waited until after class to do it.
