"Everyone knows of the story about Noah and the Ark. About the angels who fell to earth, giving birth to the Nephilim. Everyone knows God wanted to cleanse the land from the stain of evil, But have you ever wondered why sin remained? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why the world was never really cleansed?

The reason behind it was the story you were never told.

The Angels weren't the only supreme beings to touch upon the Earth around that time. No, that was just what you were meant to believe.

No one told you that Demons rose from hell, curiosity thrumming through their deadened veins. They, only having to have heard the barest whispers about how beautiful and divine the angels were, wanted to see it for themselves.

Fallen Angels, now filled with the world's lust, never cared about the evil entities entering Earth.

Yophiel, the most beautiful angel, had more wealth and lust than all the fallen combined; he was like a leader, the source of their freedom and strength. He enjoyed the attention. He felt powerful and mighty and dared to call himself a god.

But for every man, there was a woman capable of bringing him to his knees.

Hecate, a beautiful demon, eyes as blue as the sea, hair as red as fire, and skin as fair as milk. She had Angels falling at her feet, including Yophiel himself.

Yophiel claimed her as soon as he set his eyes on her, wedded her that same day, and took her to his bed.

Together, they bore a child. An abomination, the angels in heaven and the demons in hell called it.

When the ark was built, Hecate feared for her child, Sama'el. She knew God wasn't joking around when the prophecy of the ark surfaced.

One night, she spoke to Yophiel about her fear, but her husband was as ignorant as the rest of the people who were determined to stay behind.

Hecate wanted Sama'el safe, and therefore, she kept him at the doorstep of a humble caretaker, whom she was sure would take care of her son.

As she stayed and waited in the shadows, she watched as the fragile older man held her baby in his arms and took him inside his home.

At dawn, she watched as he approached the ark with Sama'el. She watched him disappear amongst the people who wanted to be safe.

Her heart wept for her child. But when the flood came, she was at peace because she knew her child would live.

Years later, Sama'el had grown into a beautiful boy, but in his heart was a fit of raging anger that nothing could sate. One sunny day, anger washed his vision red, and his dagger was in his caretaker's chest.

He loved it, the way the blood splattered on his face, the calmness it gave to him. But moments later came the guilt, tearing into him like a raging fire.

But what did you expect from a child born of an angel and a demon?

He ran, far away from home, and started a new life.

He discovered how powerful he was. He saw that he could do things ordinary people couldn't do.

That night, he had been out to a Feast. The king's daughter was to be married, and he was confident he would find leftover food to keep him from starving in the days ahead.

It was then he started hearing the voice, the soft, calm voice of his mother.

"You can be more... You can have more..."

Within him, he knew he could, but he had made a vow never to hurt anyone. The guilt was something he still hadn't lived through.

"Take it all, Sama'el... Make use of the powers within you."
