Kai Labrosky
It was really early when he found himself summoned by the Larialites Coven, to the witch's faction. He had been annoyed, seeing as they knew better than to summon him like he was just anyone. But he had known the Larialites to be one proud and powerful coven, mainly because the whole history of the supernatural existence dates back to them and their involvement in everything.
But he only answered for a reason, they had something to tell him about his soulmate.
He couldn't deny that worry was present in his heart because the Larialites don't summon for no reason at all... if they had placed an urgent call for him, then it had to be something important.
He could only wonder what Elfrida had to do with it.
He appeared, his scowl very visible, as he frowned at Gabriel, who stood there, returning his frown with hands crossed behind him. "Took you long enough." Gabriel said.
Kai waved his hand slightly, severing the circle that seemed to tie him to that spot. He stepped out, standing right in front of Gabriel.
"Remember who you speak to." He warned.
Nothing shifted in the man's face as he met Kai's gaze squarely.
Kai, knowing this coven better than he knew his, didn't break eye contact with Gabriel; and just like expected, Gabriel looked away.
There was just that thing about authority and power, you might feel like you existed long before your master, or lord... but either way, he is your master, and no matter what, you have to show respect.
Gabriel swallowed. "I apologize." He hesitantly spoke.
"As you should, Gabriel; if you like your spine connected moderately to your back, you wouldn't let that repeat itself." Kai warned, and was met with his glare, but he nodded either way. "What do you have for me?"
"We have words from the angels, my L-Lord."
Kai's brows furrowed, eyes meeting Gabriel's form. "The angels... about my soulmate?" he asked.
"Yes." Gabriel answered.
Kai waited a bit for Gabriel to continue, but the man stood there, not speaking.
"Well, what was the message?" He asked, impatient.
Gabriel cleared his throat. "She isn't human, my lord. And she's not really your soulmate, but by the angels, she is.... But... it's a bit more complicated than that."
Kai was confused, last he checked, Elfrida was as human as any human could get. He would know if she was a witch, werewolf or vampire. "I'm afraid I do not understand what you're trying to imply." I told him. "Why didn't the angels come to me directly?"
Gabriel shrugged. "The Angels reach out to Larialites when it comes to something as serious as this."
"I am your better, if something concerning me is enough to bring an Angel down from fucking heaven, I should be the first they reach out to, not my subject."
"You can raise your complaints to them later on. My lord, time is of the essence."
Kai glared. "How do I make sure the information you're about to share isn't false?"
"Larialites do not lie." Gabriel spoke, shoulders raising with a proud chin.
"Fine. What is the deputy then? If she isn't my soulmate—"
"She is in fact your soulmate, My Lord. Very much so." He spoke.
"So, what's really the problem?"
