New Friends

after almost 20 minutes Eleanor came out of the cave with a very beautiful dark blue saddle,

"so, how do you think, do you like it?"
she asked hesitant,

I stood up and touched the saddle lightly and said "'like it' is an understatement, i love it, thank you"
tears started to well up in my eyes,

for almost my whole life no one cared to give me a gift except for mother and Liam, i didn't have any friends even before i discovered my "abilities" i was raised in the palace,

my father didn't want a daughter saying that "girls are of no use to me, but a man can inherit the throne and fight battles a woman never can"
so he was disappointed when i was born, and didn't show any sign of happiness, just disappointed.

I wiped my tears looking at Eleanor, she went closer to Everest and asked her if she could attach the saddle to her back,
Everest agreed and leaned down almost touching the ground,

Eleanor finish attaching the saddle while i was watching in case i had to do it myself next time, it isn't hard mainly because i know how to saddle a horse, Liam taught me when i was old enough to ride a horse,

"i'm done, go ahead, give it a try!"
she said nudging me towards Everest,
"okay. will you fly with us?"
I said after i mounted Everest
"sure why not!"
Eleanor said and mounted her dragon "flare".

Everest started flapping her wings and slowly we rose from the ground,
the saddle is very comfortable, soft to the touch and as Eleanor said it was water prof,

Together we flew over the green crystal fields, full of flowers made of diamonds that are reflecting the glow of the sun that makes the fields look like a rainbow,
we flew over trees that have glowing fruits some are glowing red and some are orange and yellow, but the most beautiful were the ones that glow a shade of blue that i never saw in my life,that was so light that it almost looked white
"what are these"
i asked Eleanor pointing to the glowing plants
"Those are Lueur fruits, which means glow, there so good, I will give you some when we return to the cave, how bout that?"
"Sure I would love to"

We kept flying across the fields until I felt a shadow on me, I looked up and saw a huge black dragon that was larger than Everest and Flare, it had a black saddle with a rider that I still couldn't see the face of, she had a black leather long sleeve shirt, and simple black leather pants, black combat boots and a black full head mask that covers all of her head and face,
then I looked to Eleanor who was smiling at the rider that was now flying at the same level as us beside Eleanor,

"Long time no see, where have you been"
The rider ,which I assumed was a women because of the shape of her body, didn't give an answer
"It's fine, she is friendly, you don't have to go all 'I'm gonna kill everyone' mode, she's my new friend"
I felt a smile on my lips when Eleanor said I was her friend,
"Come on lets land so I can make the introductions properly"

We all landed on a small land beside a small waterfall,
Eleanor unmounted Flare and so did the new rider, I unmounted Everest still hesitating, I took a few steps toward Eleanor looking more confident than I feel,
I extended my hand to the rider and said:
"Hello my name is Celestea, I'm from Barlinea"
She reached for her helmet and took it off of her head, brown wavy long hair fell on her shoulders that reached her waist, beautiful light amber eyes looked at my forest green eyes, perfect eyebrows, full lips and cute dimples at both sides of her pink cheeks,
She took my hand and said:
"I'm Helena, I'm from Earth or Midgard as you call it, same as El here"
She said ushering to Eleanor,
"I guess El is Eleanor's nickname, right?"
"Yes and you can call me that if you want, after all you my friend"
Eleanor said giving me a side hug and a big smile
"I'd love to, thank you"
I said returning the side hug,
"Well, you can also call me Len, that's what El came up with"
