Everyone stared. I didn't know what to do so I looked down at my hands. Ichigo sat in silence, his fists clenched in his lap. Barely above a whisper, but I could hear him talk "So....is that why you woke up from the comma?"
Everyone is the room gasped, whispering to each other and wondering why I was in a comma. All I could do was nod in his response. Ashamed that I kept this away from him, my best friend. I could hear Ichigo growl, he stood up abruptly, making some of us jump. He had a cheesy grin. "Let's battle Midori! I want to see how strong you are!"
I stared at him dumbfounded. Not sure where this energy came from but I was all for it. I stood up and smiled "Hope you're ready to get your ass kicked!"
*Time skip to the underground*
Everyone stood a little ways away. Not sure what to really expect from a battle of siblings. Kisuke stood between me and Ichigo, both of us out of our gigais. Ichigo had his sword out, it was already in its shikai form. I kept mine sheathed, looking bored.
Kisuke unfolded his fan and started to announce "Now I want a clean fight. I don't want to explain to the Soul Society as to why anyone died today." I rolled my eyes "Like I would kill my own brother" Kisuke just shrugged as he walked away "You may begin!"
I just started at Ichigo, hand on my hilt. He had a smug look on his face "I hope you know I'm going to hold back. You're my sister after all" I smirk "Big mistake."
**Ichigo's POV**
I didn't have a chance to blink and she was gone. She appeared right behind me 'Shit!' I quickly bring my sword up to protect myself from her kick. She continued to disappear and reappear, not giving me a chance to counter attack. 'How is she so fast?!' She disappeared again, only to reappear a couple of feet away from me.
It hasn't even been five minutes and I was sweating. 'She's not even using her zanpakuto and she already has the advantage without putting in much effort.' I glance around the room, looking at my fellow comrades, whispering to each other. Even Ikkaku was interested in the fight.
**Ikkaku's POV**
I always enjoyed a good battle and watching a battle always riled me up. But a battle between siblings wasn't something you seen everyday. This girl put Ichigo on the defense and she wasn't going to let him win so easily.
Swords could be heard clashing together "Fight me like a real man Ichigo! Don't you dare hold back or else they're gonna have to stitch you back up!" She was quick, that's for damn sure.
"If anything, she seems to be the one holding back." I glance to my left, seeing Yumichika observe the battle closely. "I feel like she's mocking his skills by holding back. Such an ugly way of battling...." Maybe there's a reason...
**3rd person**
The battle continued between Midori and Ichigo. She continued putting Ichigo on the defense. She pushed against Ichigo's blade with her own.
"Don't" She disappeared and reappeared behind him.
"Hold" She kicked him on his left side, causing him to fly away from her.
"Back!" She landed gracefully, looking in the direction her brother flew.
A sudden increase in spiritual pressure could be felt. Midori raised her eyebrow out of curiosity, keeping her eyes fixed in the direction of Ichigo. As the dust disappeared, blue spirit energy could be seen.
"You said don't hold back...." Ichigo looked up, his eyes were now blue instead of their usual brown. He pointed his sword at Midori, placing his left hand on his right arm as the sash from his shikai wrapped around his arm "Ban-KAI!" Ichigo's spirit energy surrounded him, causing the dust to lift back up and form around him. As the dust started to calm down, Ichigo slashed the air, making it go away much quicker.
His entire appearance changed and so did his sword "Tensa Zangetsu"
Midori tilted her head to the side "So that's your bankai, huh?" She sighs, stretching upwards "Guess I should get a little serious if you're bringing out the big guns." She placed her zanpakuto in the palm of her hand, cutting it. "Crevan, light your flames"
Her Zanpakuto started to glow a soft blue, changing its form. The cut on her hand, healing immediately, like it was never there. She looked up at Ichigo, white flames slowly creeping around the blade itself.
Ichigo frowned "Is this as serious as you're gonna get?! Just your Shikai?!" She looked at Ichigo, boredom written all over her face. "I was holding you back with just my Zanpakuto while you had your shikai. So yes, I'm only releasing my shikai."
That upset Ichigo but he didn't want to start an argument in the middle of their battle. He flashed stepped, appearing behind Midori. She blocked his attack with ease, not even flinching. "So your bankai increases your speed? That's cute" She was still much faster than Ichigo, appearing behind him again.
Ichigo jumped back and yelled "Getsuga Tensho!" Strong spiritual energy was thrown towards Midori, she didn't move. Instead, she held her sword up and it absorbed Ichigo's getsuga tensho. "What the?" Ichigo was shocked but not as much as he was with her next move.
A burst of energy flung back at Ichigo like a bullet. His eyes widened and with no time to respond, he was hit.
**Ikkaku's POV**
"Did anyone just see what happened?! Where's Ichigo?!" Rukia yelled out in a panic. Tessai and Ururu ran towards the direction where Ichigo was. 'What just happened?' I look at the girl. 'She had no problem defeating Ichigo. And in just one move.'
"Who exactly is this girl..." I felt Yumichika's eyes on me. He smirked and brushed his hair out of the way "I see she's peaked your interest, Ikkaku." I scoffed and looked away. "A woman would just get in the way. But....." I smiled a toothy grin "I would love to fight her."
