**Ikkaku's POV**

I barged into the Head Captain's office, immediately bowing to him once I reach his desk. "I apologize sir! But I need immediate request to go to the world of the living!" I was clenching onto Midori's letter, ready to give the Head Captain all of the proof he would need.

"What is your reasoning for this?" I looked up, noticing the Head Captain's eyes were opened, staring at me. A chill ran through my spin, the Head Captain was intimidating. But I can't get cold feet now.

I held up Midori's letter "Ichigo Kurosaki's sister, Mirdoi Kurosaki, is carrying my child as we speak. I wish to be with her during this time!" I heard a very quiet gasp from Lieutenant Sasakibe. The Head Captain stood up from his chair and walked over to me. Once he was in front of me, he held his hand out requesting to look at the letter.

He took the letter and immediately started to read. It was an awkward silence as I was waiting for his answer. He finally looked up at me with a gentle smile "3rd seat Ikkaku Madarame, I grant you permission to go to the World of the Living on one condition."

I wanted to yell in excitement but kept it all in and waited for the conditions. "She must agree to live here in the Soul Society when the child is born."

I stepped forward "But sir! She's a human being with Soul Reaper powers!"

"Indeed she is but the child within her will be a spirit being. Unless you wish to run from Hollows for the rest of that child's life, I suggest to bring them here to live." I glared at the Head Captain "What about Midori?! A human living in the Soul Society, she's not guaranteed to survive! She will loose her life and it's not even guaranteed then if her soul will be reborn here!"

The Head Captain hummed, taking in my response as he went back to his desk. As he sat down, he looked at me sternly. "This is a choice you must make with Midori! End of discussion."

I opened my mouth, wanted to protest about the idea of her soul possibly becoming a lost soul. But I closed my mouth, bowed and walked out.

'How am I going to tell Midori this.....'

**Midori's POV**

I sat on my couch, rubbing my flat belly, imagining what it might be like in a few months when my belly is much bigger.

"My little warrior, I will do everything in my power to protect you. No matter the sacrifice."
