After a long night, making new friends, and seeing my family. I started heading home to check out my new apartment. It wasn't far from the shop, which was nice.
As I approached the apartments, reading the sign Blossom Apartments. 'These are it! And they look just as cute in person as they did online!' I smiled proudly at myself. Remembering all of the shady apartment ads I looked at.
"Midori? What are you doing here?" I jumped, not expecting anyone to be behind me.
Ikkaku and Yumichika were standing right behind me. "Umm....this is where I live....well at least until I figure out what apartment number I'm in...." I pulled out the envelope, which had my apartment key and number in it.
Yumichika clapped his hands and walked over to me, looking over my shoulders. I pulled out the acceptance letter and glanced it over. I heard Yumichika mumble out "Building C, apartment 202....." He looks over to Ikkaku "What's Keigo's apartment number?"
I glance over at Ikkaku, he looked pretty annoyed. "I think 203 or something of the sort....I know it's the same building." Yumichika smiled and chuckled quietly. I stared at him suspiciously but decided to ignore it and give the guys some sass.
"Well? Gonna show me around?" Ikkaku looked even more annoyed and just looked away while Yumichika linked arms with me, guiding me in the direction of what I was assuming was my apartment.
*Some time later*
We arrived at building C, I was staring at door 202, with my key in hand. As I inserted the key into the doorknob, I could hear a high pitched, annoying voice coming from behind. "Ikkaku, Honey, who is this girl you're with?"
I turn around and look past Ikkaku and Yumichika, an annoyed looking girl was glaring at me, trying to smile as friendly as possible. She was pissed though and glancing towards Ikkaku, he wasn't too happy either.
This girl wrapped her arm around Ikkaku's "Honey, who is this girl?" she said through gritted teeth. Yumichika placed a hand on my shoulder, smiling with his eyes closed "This is our dear friend, Midori! She was kind enough to open up her place for us to stay since there's not a lot of room at yours! Especially with your dear parents coming home here soon." He opened his eyes, it became tense really quick, like he was challenging her to try something.
Her face drained from all color, released Ikkaku's arm and looked up at him "Is it true, dear?" Tears started to form "Am I too much to handle as a girlfriend?" Ikkaku sweat dropped, glaring at her "We weren't dating in the first place. You formed that false reality on your own."
'Ouch....' She ran away, covering her face. I winced when I heard her apartment door slam shut.
"So umm....." I glance between the two men in front of me. "Apparently Yumichika decided to volunteer my place to be yours." Yumichika sweat dropped and laughed nervously "I apologize for that. If that's not okay with you, with all of us just meeting today and all, I understand" I shake my head, running my hands through my hair "I got a three bedroom for a reason, I wanted roommates and it was just in case Ichigo decided to move out. So you guys are welcome to stay" I smiled brightly and noticed Ikkaku was no longer tense about having to go back to that girl.
I pushed open my apartment door and looked inside, a sigh of relief escaped my lips. 'Looks like those moving guys I hired to unpack and organize my things did everything I asked.'
Yumichika pulled me out of my thoughts "I didn't know you were an artist!" He gasped, holding up my painting of two koi fish resembling yin and yang. I blushed deeply, quickly snatching the painting out from his hands. "It's just a stupid hobby....."
Yumichika placed his hands on his hips "Stupid my ass. I know beauty and let me tell you what Midori, you have a beautiful talent." I looked down shyly, feeling my face warm up even more.
**Ikkaku's POV**
Midori held her painting behind her back, away from Yumichika's eyes but not mine. I had to admit, it was beautiful. The painting of the koi fish seemed to be moving, dancing together in sync.
"You have a beautiful talent, Midori. Is there a meaning behind it?" I finally stopped staring at the painting and looked at Midori, her face was as red as a lobster and she was being shy. I couldn't help but smile and something turn in my stomach.
But once the question sank in, her expression changed. She looked hurt.
**Midori's POV**
I came to realization and needing a way to escape "Oh! I'm assuming you guys are hungry! I haven't gone shopping yet but..." I pulled out my phone "How does some pizza sound?" I smiled at the guys, Yumichika said yes but Ikkaku just stared at me.
"Um...Ikkaku?" I walk up to him and wave my hand in front of his face. "Hmm? Did you say something." I chuckle quietly and point to my phone "Pizza?"
"Oh uh, yeah!"
