The castle was dark. No one had stepped foot inside since the last Blood Moon. It was rumored that the castle was no longer haunted, but no one was ever brave enough to confirm those rumors. Not since the sudden disappearance of the legendary huntress. The last of the (L/n) bloodline. Maybe she was murdered, maybe she committed suicide. No one really knew what actually happened. If only, there was a way to turn back the hands of time. A way to bring back what was lost to the curse of the Blood Moon. Maybe, if there was a way to lift the curse. Maybe, if there was another chance.

...

"This castle, it's haunted?"

"Yes ma'am, it's rumored to be the resting place of 8 spirits. 8 very vengeful spirits."

"I'll take it."

"You'll what? I'm sorry?"

"The job, I'll take it."

...

(Y/n) stared confidently at the castle doors. Her second chance was now.

"Choi San! Show yourself!"

Her voice was filled with confidence. She stood her ground, unafraid. The wind whistled inside the grand hall. Red, glowing eyes stared back at her own.

"You're alive."

"I have my ways."

"How are you alive?"

His eyes were still filled with the same loneliness as before. Still filled with so much pain and sorrow. San cupped (Y/n)'s face into his hands.

"What have you done?"

The crest of the devil glowed in (Y/n)'s eyes.

"Why? Why would you do that?"

"I needed to come back."

"It won't change anything. History has been set. You've come back to die again."

"No. No, I refuse to let this end that way. I refuse."

"I refuse to let you die by my hand again. I need you to leave."

"And I need you. By my side. I need you with me, San. I won't let you push me away."

San grabbed (Y/n)'s shoulders, but she wasn't the same (Y/n) from before. She stood there, fearless and determined. She wasn't afraid anymore. San pulled (Y/n) into a tight hug.

"But why? Why sell your soul? Why give your life away?"

"For you. For us. Because I need you in my life, San. Almost as much as you need me in yours."

San's eyes glowed in fury.

"You sold your soul. You signed your life away."

"I did it because I love you."

She reached up and cupped his face in her hands.

"Please, just stop talking and kiss me."

San's lips were immediately on hers. Tears prickled in his eyes. She was still his (Y/n).

"I never want to let you go."

San tightened his grip. He buried his face into (Y/n)'s neck. His tears were eerily warm.

"I love you."

The words he never got to truly say to (Y/n). The words she never got to hear before she died.

Her heart swelled with love. With joy.

"I love you, Choi San. I love you so much."

They stood in the hall, holding eachother. Tears streaming down their faces.

The boys walked down the hall, their faces filled with loneliness.

"Sa- (Y/n)?"

Wooyoung ran straight into (Y/n)'s arms.

"You- ! You're- !"

San looked at the boys. A solemn look on his face.

"Why is she..."

"Why are we...?"

"She- she sold her soul."

The boys stared at (Y/n).

"No..."

"No, please tell us you didn't..."

(Y/n)'s head dropped and she bowed to the 8 spirits. It couldn't be true.

"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, boys. But I had to. I can't imagine a life with you guys and..."

(Y/n)'s eyes filled with tears.

"I can't imagine a life where you don't get your happy ending that you deserve!"

Yunho's lip trembled and he pulled (Y/n) into a tight hug.

"We couldn't imagine a life without you, either."

(Y/n) could feel his tears fall onto her skin. They were warm. So warm. And they were filled with love.

"I love you guys. I love you guys with all my heart. This time, I'm gonna get this right. This time, we'll get the life we deserve."

...

(Y/n) sat in the bath. She could no longer feel if the water was hot or cold. San carefully washed her hair, his fingers massaged her scalp gently and she sighed.

"I missed you. I know you're upset that I sold my soul, but I couldn't..."

She sighed.

"I didn't want to leave you. I couldn't leave you."

"I'm not upset anymore..."

He placed a kiss on (Y/n)'s neck and smiled fondly at her.

"I love you."

"I love you."

(Y/n) could feel San kiss her cheek. Her neck. Her shoulder. Each one felt like fire was licking her skin. She missed them.

...

(Y/n) was asleep on San's chest. He was playing with her hair. Her soft breathing filled his ears.

"Baby."

"Hm?"

"I love you."

"I love you, too."

She mumbled out sleepily. He held her hand and kissed it. She chuckled lightly.

"You're extra clingy lately "

"Because I know what's coming."

(Y/n) stroked his cheek reassuringly.

"Not this time."

She placed a kiss on his cheek and he hummed.

"We're gonna have a happy ending. I promise."

"You sound so confident in that."

"It's because I am confident."
