(Y/n) sat quietly in front of the fireplace. The boys were in the garden. She wasn't afraid to be left alone anymore. The fire burned brightly, but she didn't feel its warmth anymore. It was actually quite sad. A reminder. Her soul was no longer hers.
"Hey honey."
San placed a kiss on (Y/n)'s cheek and she smiled softly.
"Hi San."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Nothing's wrong."
"Are you sure?"
San sat down next to (Y/n) and smiled. She could see his dimples clearly. The way his eyes crinkled when he smiled at her. He was happy, but she could see the sadness hiding in his eyes. The fear that buried itself under layers of false happiness was uncovering itself.
"Don't...look at me like that..."
(Y/n) held his face, his smile disappeared.
"I'm not blind, honey. I can still see it. I can feel it. I can see how afraid you are."
She sat on his lap and he wrapped his arms tightly around her. She could feel the terror hidden inside of him. He was so afraid. Now, so was she.
"The Blood Moon won't just be affecting you..."
She sighed and laid her head on his shoulder.
"You should be afraid of me, not afraid of yourself and what you could do to me."
"I could never be afraid of you. I trust you. I love you."
"And I love you. With all my heart."
"(Y/n)!! We found Pip!"
The boys ran to them, looks like Pip remembered them too.
"Pip!"
The puppy ran to San and (Y/n).
"Oh, my baby."
"Hi baby, did you miss us?"
Pip just yapped in excitement and buried himself into their arms.
"Wooyoung, Yeosang. Can you guys get this little pupper cleaned up?"
Pip jumped off the couch and ran to Wooyoung.
"Come on Pip! Let's get you cleaned up!"
San chuckled as the boys disappeared with the puppy. The atmosphere was heavy again.
"Tomorrow's the Blood Moon, isn't it?"
"It is..."
(Y/n) wrapped her arms around San's neck and buried her face into his shoulder.
"I love you."
San hugged (Y/n) tighter and placed a kiss on her neck.
"I love you."
San picked (Y/n) up and carried her to the room. He laid her on the bed and sat between her legs.
"...San?"
"Hm?"
"Maybe, not right now..."
"Okay, do you just want to sleep?"
"Lay next to me. Just hold me, please?"
San laid down next to (Y/n) and pulled her into a hug. No more arguments. No more stupid fights. There was no time for that. Not anymore.
"I just want to lay like this. I just want to be in your arms."
San closed his eyes and hugged (Y/n) tighter.
"You won't lose me again, I promise."
...
"(Y/n)?"
(Y/n) wasn't anywhere to be found. It was the day of the Blood Moon. The sun was setting soon.
"(Y/n)?!"
San was running like crazy around the castle.
"Baby?!"
He couldn't find her. Where was she?
"(Y/n), baby where are you?"
"Don't! Please don't come and look for me."
"Baby? Baby where are you?"
"Please don't..."
He could hear (Y/n) crying.
"It hurts..."
San followed the sound of her voice. She was curled up on the floor. Her skin was covered in red markings. Blood streamed from her eyes.
"Baby."
"Don't come near me."
The sun was setting.
"(Y/n)."
San grabbed (Y/n) and sat her up. Her eyes opened and she smiled creepily.
"What's wrong, lover boy? Were you expecting someone else?"
The Blood Moon had started.
