Jennie woke up to the familiar sight of a dark red ceiling, greeting her. She buried her head into the soft blanket, taking in the warmth. She stayed up late last night thinking about all the possibilities of what could happen when she joined the gang.
Nevertheless, she knew she would definitely join for the sake of her precious family. Jungwoo entered the room only a few minutes after Jennie woke up, handing her a brand-new set of clothes.
After the whole bathroom incident, Jungwoo showed her where the bathroom and shower was since there wasn't one in her room. It turned out the closest one to the room was actually much closer than Jennie thought and was only a few doors down the hallway, just the opposite direction of where she wandered off to before.
He told her that she didn't need to worry about walking in on anyone in that bathroom since only she would use it due to her room being the only one without a bathroom.
Jennie assumed this won't be the case for much longer though. She wondered if the other boys know. Jungwoo didn't say anything about it and acted normally, but who knows. The cut on her neck was glowing bright red and obvious, but he didn't say anything about it or react differently than usual. She couldn't help but think what's with injuries on her neck? Just when it starts to heal, she'd get another one.
Just an inch was left between the door and door frame was left when Jungwoo spoke, "Today you will join us for breakfast."
She widened the gap to nod at him and then proceeded to close the door and get ready. Jennie hurriedly prepared her self to face the intimidating endless number of men. She recalled the way to the dining room and made her way there.
She stood in the exact spot she was in last time but this time Jennie fixed her eyes on the empty seat next to Jungwoo and sat there, trying everything she could to ignore the burning gazes filled with curiosity. From observing their expressions and hearing them whisper to each other, she verified their knowledge of the absurd deal Taeyong offered her.
She was still walking over to that empty seat while thinking all this because damn this table is so impossibly long. Well then again, what else do you expect from this sea of men? Jennie finally reached the end of the table where the seat was and just when she sat down, she saw Jisung smiling at her eerily. Despite Jennie's heart trembling, she miraculously managed to maintain a nonchalant manner and just nodded her head in acknowledgment.
She picked up my toast and nibbled on it. An overbearing aura entered the room, automatically shutting up the chatter and forcing back's to straighten unconsciously. Jennie put down her toast and looked up to meet the intense gaze awaiting her. The striking man holding that very gaze only held his usual expressionless face.
"I suppose you've heard about the news from a certain eavesdropper," Taeyong's gaze landed on Jisung.
So it was Jisung who told everyone? Didn't he leave the room?
"It's not like I just kept my ear up against the door. I simply managed to hear it. It's called having good hearing. Besides, I only told Ten, he's the one who told everyone," Jisung turned his head and responded briefly.
"Hey! Don't blame it on me! Everyone knows I tell everyone everything. I'm the gossip dealer. Telling anything to me is equivalent to wanting everyone informed," A voice I recognise defended himself.
Jennie snapped her head at the direction of the voice immediately, almost breaking her neck at the speed.
Goddamn, her neck again.
Oh my! It's the shameless one! Jennie missed him and his legendary shamelessness. It was highly entertaining and the highlight of her week.
"It's you! The outrageous one! Remember me?" She couldn't help but shout.
