Months had passed since Jennie's little visit home. She knew she couldn't just keep making the excuse saying she was on holiday for so long so she made the decision to just leave her university. As part of high society, it would be an embarrassment to her family if the public knew she dropped out of school, so she decided to do online schooling instead.

She told everyone that during her adventures abroad, she got fascinated by fashion in other countries and wanted to continue researching it around the world, telling them about her plans of online learning so she could still get her degree. Jennie was impressed with her own ideas and excuses.

Everyone, thankfully, was supportive of the idea and thought it was a good chance to learn more about designing. This gave another good reason for other businesswomen and men to see how dedicated she was to her work, so they could support her. Of course, this was all a complete lie.

Though her real profession did require for Jennie to constantly travel all over the world so she could post photos of her travels as evidence and she really was online learning.

Kai had been so supportive and sweet about his girlfriend's sudden choice that really made Jennie feel like she didn't deserve him at all. This only made her appreciate him more and tried harder to make him happy. In the beginning, they were going strong and the distance didn't affect them at all, but eventually, like all long-distance relationships, they grew tired.

Jennie had to constantly go on long hour flights and she would be too tired to call or text while Kai had to study hard for his finals. Each interaction between the two decreased less and less.

Her missions were so draining and although no one forced her to kill in cold blood, in her world, it was inevitable. Unfortunately, she was in a dangerous situation constantly. Most of the time she killed, it was because of the missions she received.

They usually gave her drugs to eliminate the enemy. The only time she really had to kill by either shooting or stabbing, was when she really had no choice.

"Please.. please don't hurt me. Put the gun down and we can talk..there is no need for bloodshed," Jennie begged at the man pointing the gun at her.

At that moment, the facade of Miss Freak disappeared and she returned to being a frightened little girl who only wanted to go home to her parents. The man stood unbothered, completely ready to shoot her at any moment.

Warm tears trickled down her face, behind her mask as she sobbed. Jennie closed her eyes, ready for impact, but it never came. As she hesitantly opened her eyes, she saw the man being tackled by Taeyong.

Taeyong turned to her, throwing the man's gun over, "shoot him! Quick!"

The moment Taeyong told Jennie to shoot. Something clicked in her mind and without even thinking about it as if by instinct, she grabbed the gun and shot. The man lied still, in a pool of deep red with Taeyong breathing a sigh of relief next to him.

Seconds later, she realised what she had done and her hand shook uncontrollably. Visions of her hands covered in blood were the last thing she saw before all she felt was her falling deeper and deeper into the black hole of nothingness.

It was the same nightmare every night after that. The minute she closed her eyes, she would wake up in this world of blackness with only one path. There would be this object in the far distance and it was the only thing that wasn't black. Jennie would walk and walk, towards that object. Every time, as she got closer, things started to appear.
