I grumble out of bed, throwing a threatening glare at the blaring alarm situated on my bedside table. I stayed up late thinking about that moment with Taeyong last night.

I have this feeling of guilt nagging the back of my consciousness. I felt like I cheated on Kai when I didn't even do anything! Does it count as cheating if my heart flips for another guy? No, right?

I console myself, trying to make me feel better. I think I'm getting good at this seeing as how this is all I've been doing for the past few days.

I make my way to the long dining table, this time not as nervous and with my head held high. Of course, I was still a bit afraid of them, but now not as much. There are only a few I'm wary of.

Ever since I became an official member, I've started joining them for their weekly breakfast gathering every Friday. Every other day, we all just get our own food at different times. I asked Ten why they only do it once a week a couple of days back.

He explained that originally they did have breakfast together every day, but only very few of them can actually cook. He went on to say that usually, only Jaehyun cooks for everyone with the other members doing it occasionally. But then Jaehyun got lazy and no one really wanted to cook so we settled to gathering only once a week for breakfast. So in conclusion, they were just lazy.

I greet everyone who I managed to get close to and ate quickly so I can get back to training. This time, I'm going to be focusing more on my weak combat skills because, in a merciless world, fighting is inevitable.

Breakfast was over in a flash with no angry shouting and talking about dark matters.

I open the door to the training room. I see Lucas play around with a sharp dagger in his hand skillfully. His disinterested eyes light up upon seeing me. No, this wasn't the cute angelic 'eyes light up', oh god no, this was the intimidating 'eyes light up'. It was like he found a new toy to play with.

I can already feel my body aching.

"Attack me. I need to know what level your at," Lucas's eyes glinted dangerously.

He was one of the members I never managed to get close to. He always looks at me from afar with a mysterious grin and clear eyes, like he knows something about me. This naturally caused me to stray far far away from him.

I clear my head and lunge swiftly, throwing my fist towards his torso. As he moves to the left, dodging my fist, I crouch to the ground while extending my right leg. I try to kick him and throw him off balance. I successfully managed to kick his ankle but he stood still. I look up at his face and see his indifferent expression.

"Your punch was too slow and weak. I didn't even need to feel the punch to determine your level of strength, that's how weak you are. Your arm was flimsy and your posture was horrible. Your kick was even worse. Sure, it might work on regular people if they're off guard, but in this world, your smaller than an ant," he blankly pointed out without holding back.

I felt a bit hurt hearing his words. I know I'm not that good at fighting but I didn't think I was so terrible either. Due to my background, I took self-defense classes when I was younger so I would be fine on my own without the need for bodyguards constantly around me.

"Get ready, I'm going to attack you now."

Lucas immediately lunges at me and throws a punch at my torso. I attempt to dodge but he still manages to hit my arm. He crouches down, extending his leg, and kicks my ankle causing me to fall straight onto my butt.

"See? I used the exact same moves you did but the result is completely different. My speed was faster, my punch and kick were both stronger and my posture allowed me to move swiftly," he points out.
