Jennie felt a pair of hands trying to shake her awake. She whined softly, too tired to actually say something, and buried herself deeper into her blanket cocoon, looking somewhat like a small kitten. The pair of hands only shook her harder. She whined louder and extended her arm to push them away.
"C'mon princess wake up. Breakfast will be ready soon" Taeyong chuckled as he watched the cat like girl.
Recognising the voice, Jennie shot open her eyes and sat up straight immediately, facing towards him.
"T-taeyong, what are you doing here? I thought Jungwoo was going to wake me up?" She stuttered out.
"He's busy making breakfast so I went to call you instead, he did get you some clothes clothes before hand though,"He replied monotonously and points at the clothes at the foot of the bed.
Jennie just blankly stared back at him not knowing how to respond or what to do.
"Also the rest of the group will be there so if I were you I'd try to make a good impression," He added as he exited out of the room.
The moment she heard the door click close she lied back down on the bed and threw her arms and legs around before coming to a sudden stop. She sighed deeply and sat up straight once again. She quickly walked into the bathroom to brush her teeth and freshen herself up.
Jennie got herself ready at a fast past but carefully because she really does need to make a good impression. This breakfast will probably decide whether she'll die now, later or if they have another use for me. She ran speedily down the hallway hoping she wasn't too late.
She didn't know where the kitchen was so she tried to follow to sound of chatter. After a couple of minutes of walking around the large mansion, Jennie saw a spiral of stairs and at the foot of it seemed to be the source of noise.
As the stairs come to an end, she saw a long table full of men who were previously all noisy but the moment Jennie came into view they simultaneously ceased the chatter. They just blankly stared at her, seemingly judging. She avoid their gazes, staring at the ground, as she combed my hair self-consciously with her fingers while slowly making her way over to the table.
"Oh hey. I was about to come up to get you but cooking took longer than expected," Jungwoo informed as he noticed her awkwardly standing around.
He sat down at near the end of the long table after he handed out plates of food to everyone. Jennie didn't know what to do, where to sit or to say anything. Fortunately, Jungwoo patted the seat next to him, signalling her to sit next to him. She made her way over next to him as she felt the many looks on her despite keeping her head low and looking at the ground as if it is the most fascinating thing in the world.
"You think she's gonna be the bait for the new mission?" An unfamiliar voice whispered as Jennie pecked at her food, too scared to look up.
"Shhh! Be quiet. Taeyong's gonna hear you," another voice she couldn't identify whispered back.
"What do you mean? He's not even here yet and if he was it's not like he would care, you know how's he's like," the voice retorted.
They might as well just say it out loud honestly. The whole table can hear them. The fact that no one opposed what he said about her being bait made her more nervous about this meeting disguised as breakfast. Who are they trying to fool with this tense atmosphere? Though now that she thought about it, where is Taeyong.
Jennie didn't remember seeing his eye catching red hair earlier when she walked into the kitchen. Of course, just when she started to wonder where he might be, he appeared out of no where. He came down from the grand stairs and sat at the very end of the table.
