Soojin would never lie to you. You knew that for a fact. However, you couldn't help yourself from having doubts concerning her explanation of recent events. What had you ever done to Jinsoul that made her want to do this? Jaehyun is a remarkably attractive and kind person, but what inclined her to strive to hurt you? You're only his friend.
You tried to limit your time around not only Jaehyun but all of your friends for a bit of time. You were savoring the energy required to interact with others for later in the day when you had to spend a couple of hours with only Jaehyun.
Jaehyun knew he needed to talk to you. Nonetheless, he couldn't stop himself from pondering what his word choice should be for over an hour. Johnny was sprawled across his bed, listening to the younger guy contemplating how he should phrase his thoughts.
"Jae, all that matter is that you get your point across," Johnny interjects, bored of observing Jaehyun pacing from side to side of the cabin.
"I don't want her to think I was okay with it at all."
"Then tell her that."
Jaehyun knows he's right. He's well aware that he's overthinking. Despite knowing how much his logic was clouded by anxiety, he couldn't stop feeling how he did. The amount of care he had for you was beyond description.
"You're closing together in the cafeteria tonight, I think it's a good chance."
Jaehyun takes a deep breath in, nodding in agreement. "You're right. Thanks, Johnny."
To say Jinsoul was beyond thriving for the past few days would be an understatement.
Finally getting back to you was something she's been yearning for multiple years. When she would come back to the cabin so late that it was nearly early, she'd notice the tear stains that laid on top of your skin. The satisfaction she felt for 'getting back' at you was immeasurable. It felt like for once, something didn't go perfectly for you.
