Day Fifty-One

Reforms

You wake up in an unfamiliar room. It's similar to the cabins you're used to spending the night in, however, the contents were completely different from what you were used too. Instead of the beds that had blankets resting on top of them that were selected by your friends, there were two blue plastic beds. They were plain, with crisp white sheets on top of them. Instead of the mini-fridge tucked in the corner, there was a huge desk with a computer placed in the center of it.

You looked to the other side of you, but this time there wasn't just furniture.

"Y/n! You're awake," Jaehyun's voice speaks up.

"Um, yeah? What happened?"

"You had a bad allergic reaction so Soojin took you here last night. You fell asleep after a while, though."

You scrunch your nose up in confusion. "An allergic reaction? I don't remember messing with something I'm allergic too."

"I don't know what happened, I wasn't with you of course. We'll figure it out," right as he was speaking, Junmyeon entered the room with a perplexed expression.

"Y/n, this is a situation I'd normally take rather lightly. You have a reaction, whatever. However, the nurse informed me that this occurred when you were in your bed. That's weird, y'know?"

You nod, feeling somewhat nervous about what his following words would be.

"Remember how we had you sign agreements at the beginning of the summer? One of them was that you consent to have a camera in your cabin, the footage only to be watched when absolutely necessary and you agree to it once again. Haseul watches the girl's cabins."

You nod again, brows furrowing in confusion. You look over to Jaehyun who was following along with Junmyeon's reports as well.

"Considering the strangeness of your reaction occurring while in your bed, we would like to watch back some footage from last night to see if we can collect any reasoning for this."

"That would be okay, I wish that I could just watch it alone first, though," your whole body heats up instead of simply your face when thinking about how you've changed in the room.

He nods in understanding. "I totally get that. How do you feel health-wise?"

"Okay at the moment," you glance down, then gasp when you see the hives that decorated your skin. "It doesn't even itch at the moment, but it looks awful," you grumble out.

"I put lotion on it that's supposed to downgrade the itchiness and hot feeling. When it comes back, let me know so I can apply more," the nurse speaks up.

"Sounds good."

"Shall I take you to Haseul then?" Junmyeon asks gently.

You nod, standing up. Jaehyun gives you his hand to help you out of the bed.

"I didn't break any bones, Jae," you giggle but accept his hand as you stand up.

He shrugs, letting your hand go as you walk off to Junmyeon and Haseul's small cabin.

"Hey, Y/n. I have the footage tracked back to late afternoon yesterday," she points to a few keys on her keyboard. "Press this to speed up, this to slow it down."

"Alright," she stands up, walking over to look through some papers. You sit at the desk chair, pressing the speed up button when you see nothing happening. The girls walking in and out to grab things, looking quite funny considering they were sped up.

Jinsoul walks into the cabin in the early evening. You think nothing of it until she kneels beside your bed. Quickly hitting the button to go into normal speed, you notice her slender hands slipping a plant inside the pillowcase you sleep upon. Your eyes widen and a gasp leaves your lips.
