*Beep *Beep *Beep *Beep "How is it morning already?" I get out of my bed and began my daily routine. It's pretty simple. I wake up,brush my teeth, wash my face, get dressed and fix my hair. I leave the apartment and walk to work. I walk inside the office and out my things down into my cubicle. I grab a mug and make a cup of coffee for myself. I work at a technology company and have yet to actually speak to more than five employees a day. I do the same schedule Monday thru Friday. I stay at home most weekends or do activities that only require one person. I don't rely on another individual or have friends because I see no purpose of it as an adult. It would've mattered to me when I was in high school but not anymore. I adjusted my reading glasses and began to log in for work. Recently my old coworker who shared the cubicle with me moved to another company. I looked having the space to myself so I could avoid the conversations that felt forced between the coworker. "Y/n Good Morning~!" I turned my head behind and saw one of my coworkers YangYang "Morning." "Y/n I was wondering if you-" Before YangYang could finish his sentence, my manager came in with a man next to her. "Y/n! I was thinking you could help Lucas set up. He's brand new and starting today. I already showed him around and everything." I mentally groaned at the thought of sharing my cubicle again. "Alright." I responded back to him "I'll talk to you later Y/n~!" said YangYang as he walked away to his cubicle "It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs.Y/n!" said the boy named Lucas. "Actually it's just Y/n. In fact i'm not a mrs either." Lucas looked at me with a bright smile plastered on his face while I stared at him blankly. "Anyways I will set up your computer for you. It shouldn't take that long. Then i'll put your information into the system and I can write down how to use it." I explained to him. Lucas stood behind me as I sat in his chair and began to put everything in the computer. "How long have you worked here Y/n?" "A year." "How old are you?" "19." "Did you go to college?" "Yes." "Which one did you go to?" "Stanford University." "Y/n are you giving me short answers because you don't want to talk to me?" "Yes." As I finished saying that I was already done on his computer and got out of his chair. I walked back to my side of the cubicle.
*time skip*
"Y/n! I'm back I wanted to ask you if you were free on saturday?" asked YangYang. "Yes. Yes I am. In fact i'm practically booked." "Oh I-I see. Well then how about Friday?" he asked "Can't. I have plans also." "Sunday?" he asked I sighed as I saw YangYang kept bothering me to hangout with him. "Look YangYang I don't know how much more blunt I can be when I say this. I'm busy every single day. For the rest of my life." "I see then. Well that won't make me stop trying!" he replied I heard a giggle let out from next to me. "Something funny?" I asked "Man you really are oblivious huh?" said Lucas I stared blankly at Lucas and just rolled my eyes and I continued working. "Y/n he was trying to ask you on a date." said Lucas I sighed and turned to look at Lucas. "First of all no and second of all no. Also boys are such a waste of time. They're distracting. Just like you are right now." I said I swiveled back around and continued typing and then the hours flew by. Before I knew it, it was time for me to clock out. I grabbed all of my stuff from the desk and began making my way downstairs. I began walking home and arrived in a matter of 15 minutes. Since today was Monday, I needed to go grocery shopping. I changed into a more comfortable outfit and then left to the grocery store.

I grabbed a shopping cart and went inside of the grocery store. I grabbed simple things like rice, vegetables, fruit and meat. I was strolling through the aisles to buy myself snacks and stuff. I saw my favorite chips but they were all the way at the top. I hoped and jumped and tried balancing in my top toes to get them but I couldn't reach them. I sighed to myself. Maybe it's a sing that I shouldn't get them. "Oh do you need some help?" I turned to the sound of the voice and I saw a familiar face. "Oh not thank you Lucas. I can manage to get them myself." The man looked down at me in confusion and then smiled slyly. "Right~ It's not like i've been watching you this whole time to struggle and grab something." I felt my face began to heat up from embarrassment. He then walked over and grabbed the bag of chips effortlessly. He placed them into my shopping cart and smiled at me. "T-thank you but I could've done it on my own Lucas." I said. I walked to the line to go pay and for some reason Lucas kept following me. "May I ask you why you are following me?" Lucas then looked at me and flipped his hair. "Well i'm sorry but it's a knights duty to protect the princess isn't it?" he exclaimed I stared at him blankly and then proceed to pay for my items. "Lucas? Why did you go to the grocery without purchasing anything?" I asked him as we excited the store. "Oh~ I honestly forgot what I was supposed to buy." he said "Alright then have a good night." I said to him as I began to walk home. "Wait!" I turned around to see Lucas jogging to me. "Let me drive you home it's really late at night and your groceries are too heavy to carry alone." I sighed at Lucas's remarks. "I can manage by myself thank you. I do this a lot." He then proceeded to get i front of me every time I would move. I gave in to his request and had him drive me home. "You can drop me off in front of the building." "No I will help you carry your groceries to your apartment. Just let me help you please and I will not take no for an answer." I sighed as we began to walk to my apartment. I opened the door and took off my shoes. Lucas followed me to the small kitchen and looked all around my apartment. "Wow it's so....organized and clean." "Yes I know and I intend to keep it that way. Anyways thanks for the help and everything that I didn't need but it's getting late so you should be heading out." I said as I lightly began pushing Lucas towards out my door. As I closed the door, Lucas stuck his foot before it could completely close. "You know Y/n it's okay to say you need help? You don't always have to do everything by yourself." he said to me He then closed the door on his own as I stood there shocked at what he said to me. I felt myself getting warm? I quickly shook the feeling away. I don't need to ask anyone for help, right?
