Sign Of The Times
Just stop your crying
It's a sign of the times.💛
"Billy, you really are a dumb child."
"How so, Faye?"
"You really believe Logic is better than Drake?"
Sam raises her gaze from her phone to the bickering siblings. She blinks repeatedly as she makes eye contact with Billy, before saying, "Chile, anyways, so." and bringing her gaze back down.
The teenage boy groans loudly. "You too, Sam? You guys really settle for basic, dont ye?"
"Logic is the Wish equivalent of Eminem.", Skye pipes in, and Faye and Sam give him a look of victory. Skye always has the deciding votes in these arguments.
Faye and Billy Harrington have lived with the Casey's for 2 months now. Living in Australia for most of their lives, they were adopted as babies and lived with very strict parents. The two decided itd be funny to reveal the coincidence of them both being gay, which resulted in them swiftly being flown to America, to one of tho most brutal conversion camps.
Faye received a call from her girlfriend, Jane's, mother one day, to tell her she had been involved in a car accident and had passed away in hospital. It was Fayes first real death. But Faye isnt the type of person who mopes around and cries when something horrible happens. Instead, she gets up and keeps fighting. Sure, she obviously shed tears for the girl who had given her a new lease of life at age 16, but knew she wouldve wanted her to keep going. So she did, and with Billy on one arm and Cara on the other, she walked into Ireland, eager to start a new life.
Billy has been the life of the party ever since he was a kid. His bubbly, friendly charisma gained him a lot of friends back at home, and Cara formed a fondness to him as soon as they met. Even though he went through a lot, he never shows any signs of negativity or hopelessness. His positive attitude towards anything, combined with his childlike essence are the biggest reasons behind his ability to maintain his own happiness while also making others feel the same way. He's had crushes, but hes never dated a boy, which Faye is happy about. Shed support him if he had a boyfriend, but has always feared that he'll get hurt and his spirit, as well as his heart, will be broken. The only person she told that to was Cara, who agreed.
