Sam sits on her bed, Playstation 4 controller in her hands. She grows agitated everytime Crash Bandicoot missed a jump or lost a life, though feels refreshingly calm. Last night, she had gone to the cinema with the rest of her crew, and she is now the only one awake. Oddly enough, Skye seemed happier than she had been in a while last night, and is now sleeping in for the first time in months. Soon enough, the sound of Billy and Faye bickering while preparing what could be called brunch is clearly heard in the house. Overall, it's a relaxing morning.
All that is quickly interrupted by the sound of Sam's phone dinging with a notification. Groaning, she pauses her game and rolls backwards on her bed to grab it.

A part of Sam crumbles as she rereads the text message a few more times. Most people would be pretty excited about getting to know their way around their school a few days earlier. But Sam isnt. In fact, it terrifies her. While being aware of the fact that Skye is 17 and can handle herself and has many people who love her around, she knows than even when they're in their 90s that she'll feel the need to protect her from anything and anyone and be there on the dot. She was happy and content with the fact that she had another month left to help Skye with going to the Gairdaì, but now, that's not happening.
Just then, the door of her room bursts open and in walks Billy and Faye.
"Sam, can you please tell this absolute imbecile that Nutella isn't the tastier version of peanut butter?", Faye says pointing to her brother.
