Hurry, I'm worried
💛
The phone ringing at midnight breaks Eimear out of her trance of falling asleep, as well as Meabh, Sarah and Natasha.
"Who the fuck is ringing now?", Meabh grumbles with annoyance. Everyone knows that girl loves her sleep.
Eimear grabs around for her phone, finally getting it into her hands. Her eyebrows furrow at the sight of Sam's name. Shit, she thinks to herself. She answers the call.
"Everything good, Sammy?", she asks, rubbing the tiredness out of her eyes to the best of her ability.
"Not really, no. Skye again."
Eimear darts up slightly. "Fuck. What's after happening?"
"I haven't a clue. Shes not talking to any of us and shes still acting the bitch like she was on Wednesday. I can't see any bruising, but I think she could've gotten into a fight the other night. You know the way some people hate us. Anyways, shes kind of limping a bit. Whether that happened or she fell or something at the gym, I don't know."
"Shit." Theres a moment of silence occupied by Eimear licking her lips, deep in thought. She then speaks again. "Will I come over now? Ma is asleep though."
"Nah, wait till the morning and I'll pick you up at around 10?"
"Yeah, no bother, see you then."
The call ends, and Eimear reconnects her phone with its charger.
"What's the problem now?", Meabh asks. Meabh is Eimears best friend in the whole world, but also feels she worries too much about other peoples problems. She especially worries that when Skye turns 18 the following year, Eimear will still be trying to resolve stuff for her. Little does she know shes just returning a favour to the Casey sisters.
"Skyes still mute. This shits never happened before."
"You're shitting me?", Sarah says, dumbfounded.
"Nope. I have no clue what the fuck is going on. Shits been the same since Monday night when herself and Sam argued and she walked out."
Natasha sits up and faces her best friend.
"I really don't understand how you can look at Skye and not tell something fucked up shit happened to her. I'll admit, I don't like her all that much, but it's pretty obvious she's going through some real PTSD type shit. You need to find out more, Eimear. Find out who or what hurt her."
