"Billy, what were you thinking?"

"What? It's a special occasion!"

"Harry Potter's 40th birthday doesn't warrant buying a fucking cake!"

Eimear enters the room. "Someone said cake, I'm interested. Whose birthday is it?"

"Harry Potters.", Billy answers.

Eimear and Faye share a look. "You're fucking joking me." "I really wish I was."

"Its a special occasion!"

Skye walks into the room and looks at the siblings, before she sees Eimear and immediately smiles and brings her into a hug. "Hey, Eems! How was the concert?"

"Amazing. I thought Tash was gonna jump onto the stage at one point. Also, Billies way cuter in the flesh."

Natasha and Eimear went to the Billie Eilish concert in London that Tash had bought the tickets to ages ago. Truth be told, both of them completely forgot about it, until Natasha's mother reminded them of it a few days prior. Eimear initially was reluctant to go, between Skyes situation and Jess and Cara's parents trial, but they all persuaded her to go for a break and promised they'd be fine.

"Well, I mean, you do have Billie Eilish at home.", Billy chirps, looking in Skyes direction who gives him a glare back. Faye and Eimear try their best to hold back a laugh, knowing shit was about to hit the fan.

"Whatever, TikTok boy."

Billy grabs his heart. "Now, that's just cruelty."

Eimear left for home 10 minutes ago to go for a sleepover with Meabh and Sarah, so the four young residents of the house as well as Cara were left. While Sam, Faye and Billy argue about what to watch, Cara and Skye snicker at the immaturity. As the childish argument continues, Cara gives Skye the 'let's leave the children alone' look they often share and they walk outside to the swing chair.

"How you doing, kiddo?", Cara asks, earning a small smile from Skye.

"As best as I can, I suppose. I just don't think I can report this shit. Like, what if no one believes me? What if people find out when I go back to school? It'll just be another reason to ridicule me.", Skye confesses honestly.

"Hey. I know the girls in your year are pieces of shit, but you never know who could've gone through the same thing you did. I doubt it would get out, but if it did, I don't think you'd get ridiculed. I think all girls can relate to what's happened to you in one way or another."

Skye hums in response. "I know theres the tape from the security cameras, but I mean, that could be anyone-"

"Even if it was shot with a camera from 1945, it'd be pretty clear who it was. You don't have to worry about anything until waiting until you are ready. Are you ready?"

The smaller girl lets out a sigh and runs a hand through her fading dyed hair. "I don't think I'll ever be ready. When shit like this gets out, theres always news people and shit who don't understand the definition of privacy. 'Ooh, look at the 17 year old girl leaving the court after her rapist wasnt convicted'. Shits disgusting." She takes a long sip out of her can of Monster. "Justice system could give a rats ass about me."

"You never know. My "mother" is locked up for life now with no bail for the shit she did."

"Thats different though. Your mother did it several times and she didn't seem to be bothered about going to jail at all. It's only me this time around."

"You don't know that. I've seen him a few times around since I've been back, and I get the impression that this wasn't the first time he did anything remotely like this. I don't buy it for a second."

"I really don't know what to do, Ca. I want it to stop following me every second of every day and night, but everytime I think its time to go down to the station and say something, I'm pulled back again by the same stupid fear and anxiety. I just wish I was brave enough to do it."

"Dude, you're already brave for telling us what happened so soon. You have to remember that this happened a bit over 2 weeks ago. Not many girls are able to tell people what happened to them within that period of time. That makes you incredibly strong, Skye. Don't underestimate that."

Skye gives her the most genuine smile she can muster before Cara brings her into a side hug, the two staying there for a while until it gets too dark and Billy decides it's a good time to get into the pool.
