Chapter Twenty - Three

One month later

Jaebeom had left the hospital to buy some things for himself and Ariana since they will be frequently in and out of the hospital. "Ari, I got you some food." She gave him a soft smile and rest the plate beside herself. "Anything?" She shook her head. "Anthony is here though, he's mad too because I haven't allowed him in." Jaebeom facial expression stiffened as he looked out the door. "I really want to go beat his ass." Jaebeom growled but ariana patted the empty chair. "Let's eat...and just pray that she wakes up." They did what they said.

"Hello?" Jaebeom raspy voice cracked through his phone. "Where are you! You've been gone for a month!"  "Jinyoung, I've already spoken with JYP, I'll be gone for a lil while." The sigh that left jinyoung lips was filled with exhaustion and a hint of relief. "What happened? You never told us."

"Rose, she was in a hit and run. She's still in a coma and they are contemplating on pulling the plug. Ariana and I are literally paying them to keep her on life support for a while longer." The line went mute for a while before bambam, yugyeom and jackson voice was heard then he realized that he was on speaker phone. "You should've told us sooner bro." Jackson husky voice boomed through the speakers. "We would've been there for her and you." Yugyeom added and jaebeom just released a sigh. "I was shocked, I still am..i left in the spur of the moment."

"Ari and I are renting an apartment since the accident happened in Hollywood boulevard, she lives too far to travel back and forth everyday." Jaebeom stared at the ceiling as his bestfriends spoke, he was deep in thought. "She will be ok" Mark commented, but his response was a sniffle. "She coded three times....I-I'm trying to keep the positive atmosphere up to have hope and faith but--there's no...there's no response. She's not getting any better." Jaebeom paused before speaking again. "I can't lose her.....I really can't."

"Jae" the voice of seulgi entered the ears of jaebum and Ariana looked at the female confused. She was then followed in by the other six boys. "We couldn't say no"  Seulgi hugged him tightly, "the boys told me about her accident and Anthony." Ariana unintentionally glared at the duo before placing her attention back to her best friend. "You didn't have to come." He mumbled in her hair, the tight embrace gave him comfort but it also felt wrong.

He pulled away and noticed ariana's stiff form with her attention strictly on Rose. However, the atmosphere suddenly became thick as someone cleared their throat. "How did you get in here." Ariana growled as she stood in front of her comatose friend's body. "I have my ways and she's my wife." The glares that shot at him were deadly. "You should leave." Jackson spoke since he was the one closest to him. Anthony sized him up, attempting to use his height and dominant nature to his advantage.

"Nah, you have more of a reason to leave. You ain't shit to her." Jackson bit his bottom lip with clenched fist. The tense air was thick, another word they were all certain fist would be thrown. "Jackson, dont." Jinyoung spoke as he noticed mark's defensive stature as well. "Yeah listen to your lil buddy." Jackson went to rebuttal but was cut off by ariana's gasp.

The boys including seulgi all turned around to face the female that stood above Rose, "she grabbed my hand" She whispered above level for everyone to hear. "Rose?? Rosie..." she mumbled as the grip tightens. "Just give it up Ariana, she's basically a vegetable."

The room fell silent as an echo made its soundwave around the room. "I'm so sick and tired of your bitch ass." She spoke through the grit of her teeth. Anthony leaned back as her sudden aggression caught him off guard. "Excuse me?" Her glare sent daggers through him "I told her don't her invested in your fake ass, but you fool her so much into loving you." His face still burning from the slap targetted to him.

You little..." she step forward at ariana but was pushed back by Jaebeom. Anthony pushed him back but they all stopped as they heard the heart monitor increase. "Rose?" Her breathing stopped as she stared down at her best friend who's pupils were now visible to the public. "Rose...." her voice cracked as all the female did was stare around the room, face twisted as if everyone that surrounded her were strangers.
