A lot about what I'm supposed to be
But of course I never really fully believed the words you say
Given the fact that many already told me that yesterday
Although it did inspire me a whole lot more
An inspiration I thought I already felt before
Kind of like the one that kept me writing
Love songs, love poems, love stories and anything
Yet again maybe I'm just a little bit over the edge
Rough times that had me crossing an unknown bridge
And here goes what I really want to say to you
Do I inspire you too?
You know if this ever goes close
Real close to the thurns in your rose
And it shatters like my hopes
Do you think you can still appreciate my brittle ropes?
