You are the man that I watched from a distance
On that stage or on that hall for instance
Undeniably you send me on a trance
And I had always hoped, to me you would glance
Round the campus I could see you
Every time you perform I would admire you
I started jutting down and imagining too
Not caring that you would never have a clue
Sometimes you bring out my poetic heart
Probably because you are inclined with art
In other times you tore me apart
Regardless if you know it or not, quite tart
In most times though, you make me smile
Never failed to give me something to compile
Got me writing down poems and songs while
Dreaming about letting you see the contents of this file
Are you gonna like it? I always question
Remind me to contain this growing infatuation
You yourself are not helping in this situation
Listen, you're just giving me more motivation
