Chapter 6

Chapter 6-Happy?Birthday

Present

Veny and Karel wanted to sleep here. Pinipilit nila kasi baka daw mag suicide ako. Like seriously? I'm not that idiot.

I forced them to go home because we'll go to Poctoy tomorrow and they don't have clothes here. What are they gonna bring? My clothes? No way. My clothes are like my precious gems. I don't care if you're my friend, I ain't gonna let you borrow my clothes. I got traumatized when my classmate borrowed my dress for some play or something and then she never gave it back. When I was asking for it, she's already claiming it hers. I just gave it up.

The only person I was giving my things to is Ashley. She's my super trusted cousin because she handle my things with care.

"Ano, okay ka pa ba? Wag kang magbibigti ah." Veny reminded for the nth time.

I ain't a suicidal person for god's sake.

"Manahimik ka na nga. Matutulog na ako." I said.

"Hoy! Baka uminom ka ng sleeping pi-"

I ended the call.

So annoying. I get that they were concerned for me but I swear I got myself. I was trying my best to move on. And if everybody did, I believe I can too.

I woke up feeling refreshed. I packed up my clothes last night. I doubled check the gc kung anong oras nila ako susunduin because ayaw ko na mangyari yung nangyari dati.

I went downstairs to eat breakfast. My parents was already sitting at the dining when I came in. I greeted them and kissed their cheeks before sitting.

"Will you be okay, anak?" Papa asked with genuine concern.

I looked at him and give him a warm smile. "Yes po. Don't worry, I'll call you po if something happens." I assured him.

He let out a sigh and continued eating. I pursed my lips and stared at my parents. I feel sorry for them because Liam already got close to their hearts and then this is happening. It must've been hard for them.

After eating, nagpaalam na sila Mama na aalis na para sa trabaho. Papa handles our hospital while Mama is also one of the doctors there. We are a family of doctors, obviously. I honestly wanted to take law but I felt like I'm obliged to inheret our business because I'm the only child so I took up med, which was I eventually like na din in the process, so maybe it really runs in the blood.

I went upstairs to change my clothes. I already prepared that last night also because I seriously don't want my friends to wait for me. Specially now that the other girls and I were not in good shape.

Later on, may narinig na akong busina sa baba. Well, here we go.

I took my duffel bag. I looked at myself at the vanity mirror before I got out of my room.

Nang makababa ako ay sumalubong sakin si Veny at Karel. I frowned at them, "Oh, bakit?" I asked, confused

Veny shrugged, "Akala namin tulog ka pa e, gigisingin ka sana namin." She answered a matter of factly because she was holding a whistle.

I sneered at them. Well, atleast they're prepared.

Sabay-sabay na kaming lumabas ng bahay. Meijie was outside, waiting for us. When we came near, he took my bag and opened the door for us. Ang seat sa unahan ay unoccupied so definitely, dun kami.
