"Maycee..."

I didn't know what to do. If I should face him or should I run? I thought I say, we needed closure? But I had done him so much damage that I am ashamed to face him.

"Bakit mo naman kasi binara? Tanga-tanga ka din e. Ayun na 'yun e. Closure na yun or maybe even better, comeback!" Veny scolded me.

My lips twitched. "Eh hindi ko alam gagawin e! Nataranta ako!" I exclaimed.

Karel was laughing out loud while reminiscing what happened earlier. "Hay Maycee... comeback na, nabara pa." She said.

I pouted.

"Ha? Bakit?" I asked as I faced him.

My cheeks reddened when our eyes met. He changed a lot. He got taller, his body was lean and his face looked mature, more handsome than we first met.

"Uh, kumusta?" He asked, as if I hadn't done anything to him. He even smiled genuinely at me. Siguro ngiting nakamove-on na yun.

"Ayos lang, ikaw ba?" I awkwardly said. My heart was erratically beating and I can't help but to drool at his appearance now. Lord, help!

"Good." He said.

"Uh bakit mo pala iniwan si Bianca dun? She's crying diba?" I asked, trying hard to sound concerned.

"She's good." He said. I nodded. Wala na akong ma topic.

"Magpo-propose ka na?"

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

Sabay naming tanong. Woah, I was shocked. Why would he ask that?

"Uh, you go first." He said and smiled.

"Uhm ano, narinig ko kasi na magpo propose ka na kay Bianca." I shyly said and slightly looked down to hide my face because of embarrassment.

"That's..." he trailed, his brows was knitted, as if confused of what I am saying. "not true, who told you that?" He asked, genuinely confused.

The inner part of me celebrated but I remained my composure.

"But she's your girlfriend, right?" I asked, unsure because, I don't know, baka ito din 'di totoo. Fake news lahat sila. Poser.

"No." He firmly said. "Who is giving you that information?" He asked.

"But you said, girlfriend mo s'ya. Remember, nung sa bahay?" I was confused, alright! Baka fake news din 'tong lalaking 'to.

He chuckled. "No, I was just joking around." He said.

The butterflies in my stomach are dancing. My heart is racing rapidly as if celebrating. Gosh, the things this man do with my system.

"So, do you have a boyfriend?" He asked, serious now.

"None." But if you wanna be my boyfriend, then I have now. Di ko na sinabi 'yun, kasi ang rupok pakinggan. Di naman ako marupok, slight lang.

"Really?" He asked enthusiastically.

"No, I was just joking around." I said, imitating him. The smile on his face instantly faded.
