nine.

It's been a few days already but the mystery of the anonymous in the dark helping you that night sticks in your mind.

Over the days as well, you feel somehow happier. Finally.

You told your mother about your fail in journalism because of the topic and she willingly accepted it and told it's okay. She told you to tell about your friends so you won't have to worry about it but of course,

you didn't.

But overall, it was great days.

Your relationship with your co-workers are going good. You got to talk with Irene and the others, building up the bond once again. Taehyung and his friends would leave messages at dawn while you are still asleep and it makes you smile every morning. Jaepil is achieving good grades and hell, you always sleeps with her voice complaining about school.

Most of all, your mother is happy, genuinely.

That's all you want to see.

But you know, even if things are great, your half heart is still broken as hell.

Of course, they still have it.

Heck. You still even have Yixing's cup hidden on your room and cry everytime you see it.

Today, you'll be working in Mina's workplace. Thanks to her, you'll still have income atleast. She has been gone for a few days now and you guessed she's already starting her journalism career.

You still hoped that it would be you so you can't help but to be disappointed.

But not a problem for you. You've been disappointed a few times in your life you know how to handle it now.

"Good morning!" You jolted up to see Mina in the kitchen.

You batted your eyelashes before pulling an apron to start the day. "Why are you here?"

She scowled. "Is that how you talk to beautiful people?"

"Tsh," You scoffed, glancing at the first order of the day. Mina simply stood there, helping with the drinks. "But seriously, you're supposed to work in journalism right?"

She playfully nudged you. "Did you forget we are still on hold because of that one goddamn employee who will be contacted?"

"Ahh~" You passed her the iced coffees ordered by the customers with a frown because of not understanding. "You've been gone for four days, I thought you are already starting to work with them."

"Nope. I've been in contact with my parents." Mina plastered a bitter expression and by that, you can already tell it didn't go well. "You remember what I told you about them not wanting me to pursue my dream job in editorial?"

"Yup." You cautiously answered, knowing this girl is currently sensitive from the topic.

"I talked it out but they still seems like they want me to continue this already big cafeteria." She bitterly smirked. "What a supportive parents, but only if you are a daughter that loves to cook."

"Hey.." You comfortingly tapped her back.

You know how much it hurts not to have your parents' support.

It will always be a memory for you about those days when you would be happy just for a simple dinner they asked you out. You experienced it around your teenage days and it hurts that you grow up feeling that they aren't with you.

But what matters is now. You can tell how much Mrs. Yoon is trying to make your days happier.

And here you are, still with the thought of what is Mr. Yoon capable to prove if he is still alive and isn't a Mafia Leader.
