Tom sat down on the coach by the wall in his office and just stared into space. His whole body felt numb and tired and thoughts were flying around his brain. He remember the joy and happiness he felt when he heard the multiple knocks on his hotel room. He remembered feeling pissed then all a sudden feeling elated when he opened that door and she started kissing him. He remembered the snowball fight a few hours beforehand and how he wished he could have many more of them with her. He remembered when she saved him when he was in his most vulnerable state while trying to operate on his ex-wives new son that reminded him so desperately on the son he couldn't save. How her hands were so soft but strong and caring when she came to his office to check on him and just held his arm re-assuring him he was fine. From that moment he knew that Teddy really did love him back and that just made him want her more. He hoped and prayed and wished that he could see her, talk to her, laugh with her again. He couldn't help but remember that night....

He paged, he knew he just couldn't see her marry Owen and make a mistake. He loved her and he loved her to much to let her go. He wondered if she was just going to marry Owen out of obligation to her daughter. He often wished that Allison was his, then maybe Teddy would just want to be with him. So when she walked into his office, he felt relieved that she hadn't given up on him yet.

'You paged?' She asked confusingly while fiddling with her phone.

He told her a little story hoping to get his point across about throwing he life away to Owen.

'I hate that I dragged you into this. I hate that I'm hurting you.' She spoke fiercely while walking to the opposite side of the room while still staring at him.

'Because you love me.' He interrupted while getting closer to her.

'I'm marrying Owen' She insisted nearly stamping her foot down.

'And I love you two which is why I'm not giving up on you. ' He whispered passionately getting even closer to her. 'So tonight I'll be in my car, lot B, 7 o'clock just waiting to take you where ever you want to go. If you want to go back to your place and explain things to Hunt- fine. But if you want to run away and spend a weekend by the coast figuring things out- I'll be there 7 o'clock.'

'I can't do this.'

'Say it.' He whispered while pressing his lips to her face.

'I love you.' She whispered while he pulled her in for a kiss and then pulled her down onto her couch.

He pushed her closure to him and just got carried away. Both kissing passionately and letting their hands wander. He wasn't just having sex with Teddy, he was making love. He really did love him. He loved that she would laugh at the most ridiculous things. He loved that she was extremely caring and selfless. And he loved that she was a badass especially in surgery. Teddy was the whole package. He could only imagine what his life would be like if he was with her. His marriage ultimately ended because of his son's death and just seeing that his ex had another chance at a family hurt but the fact that if Teddy was his he would have a family again. He would be a Dad again. 22 years ago, when his son was born he knew he would always have a friend, someone to pass on his knowledge , someone who would always be his. But 12 years ago that all disappeared. However now, he could have that again. He knew he just had to hang onto to Teddy.

'Let's not wait until seven!' Tom exclaimed while kissing Teddy passionately while she gave out a little moan. 'Let's leave now.'

Teddy tried to pull away from this kiss and sat up on the coach. 'I can't leave with you I'm marrying Owen- this is goodbye Tom.'

'Don't make the wrong decision.' Tom whispered seriously while sitting up and stroking her hair.

Teddy sat still staring into his eyes and then reached down for her scrub top and pants and started putting them on. Slowly she stood up, scanning the floor searching for her phone.

Tom noticed the purple case on the floor and picked it up. 'I can't watch you throw your life away so I'll still be waiting by my car at 7pm.' He whispered while placing the phone in Teddy's hands and holding them and then letting go.

'I'm sorry Tom for doing this to you, I never wanted to hurt you.' Teddy insisted while standing opposite him. 'But I love Owen, I have a family with Owen, I'm marrying Owen.'

'Listen to yourself Teddy, your desperately trying to persuade yourself. Don't keep lying to yourself. I love you and you love me.' He spoke quite sternly while Teddy was stood by the door about to leave.

'Goodbye.' Teddy whispered while closing the door and walking out of his office.

He stood there for a few seconds hoping she would come running back in and jump into his arms and tell him to take her away. When he realised that never was going to happen, he sat down on the coach he'd just laid on with Teddy and stared into space.
