Unexpected Chances - Calum Hood Imagine (Part 1)

     I was content. I wasn't sad nor was I extremely happy. I am honestly just fine.
     My life was pretty normal. I had an okay childhood, raised by a single mother, did okay in school and now working my dream job. The thing was I wasn't completely happy. Now ask me why and I wouldn't be able to tell you. Truthfully I didn't know why myself, I mean I wasn't in a relationship but I felt like I didn't need one. That left me to think that there was just something wrong with me because how can a person have everything around her that she wanted, but still not be completely happy. I don't get it.
      Like any normal day during the week, I had just arrived to my work. I was the photographer for none other than the Rolling Stone magazine. It took me a long journey to get here and after a lot of non stop working, I finally made it. I loved it. When I wasn't working for them I did side photography for anyone non famous that wanted photo shoots done. It was something I've always had a passion for.
     "Good morning y/n!" Our receptionist Christine greeted me when I enter the modern- edgy style building.
      "Morning Christine!" I smile back. Everyone here has so far really nice, I've only been here for a few months but they honestly treated me like family. It was truly a wonderful company to work for. Walking past Christine, I began making my way to my room where everything was already prepped for my first photo shoot of the day. I opened the dark blue door and was immediately greeted with my co workers/ my best friends Joey and Emma. My first day here they welcomed me with open arms and have been nothing but amazing to me. Emma is the dramatic one, but always listened and was there if you needed someone. She helped with any props, anything I needed help with and helped with the posing. Joey is gay, but definitely the comedian out of the three of us and knows a lot about fashion. I mean he is the one who designs the outfits for the celebrities, so I mean of course he would. Then there was me the one who took care of taking and editing the photos for the magazine. I'm more of the mother, but of course love to have as just as much fun and joking around.
      "Morning y/n/n!!" Joey and Emma exclaimed, as I walked through the door.
      "Morning guys!" I smiled back, I laid my bag down into the corner and walked over to the two sat on the couch that was in the corner of the room.
     "Everything is ready for the first shoot, we're just waiting for them to arrive" Emma spoke.
     "Awesome! You guys are the best, they shouldn't be to much longer now. I'm going to get my lenses and camera ready." They nodded, as I walked to the table that had my camera and all the accessories for it.
    "So me and Em were talking, there's apparently a really good band performing at Elliot's tonight and we thought it would be nice to get out and have a break!" Joey exclaimed excitedly. I hate saying no but I'm honestly not the type to go out much. The sound of sweaty strangers grinding on each other and older men trying to hit on young girls did not sound like a good plan. On the other hand I mean maybe going out would be nice, I have been stressed lately..
    "I don't know let me think about it and I will let you know in a bit, I haven't been out in a while.What band is even playing?" I asked.
"Oh come on y/n it will be fun and I'm not sure but I'll text my cousin, he knows who it is!" Emma exclaimed, grabbing her phone and looked to be texting I guess  her cousin.
"We'll see alright, now come on they'll be here any minute and we can't be sitting around" I laughed, finishing up the first set of the photo shoot.
~A few hours later~
Three rounds done and we were on to our fourth person now. They've honestly gone by pretty fast and next up was a surprise. My boss wouldn't tell me who they were because they're a surprise magazine cover, so I never asked. He gave me the outfits ideas and set looks, so we were able to have things ready so there was no need trying to figure things out.
"So who is the next appointment again?" Joey asked.
"I have no idea, Juliet wouldn't tell me. She said it was a surprise cover and didn't want anyone to know."
"Weird" I shrugged my shoulders, not really knowing what else to say. At any moment who ever this person may be is going to walk in, for some reason I honestly felt a bit nervous. Pushing it to the side I heard the door open to the studio, so I turned to look at who was about to walk in. Right then and there the four members of 5 seconds of summer walked in. My stomach dropped and immediately got really nervous, I mean they're my favourite band. I honestly never thought I'd come across them, let alone do a photo shoot for them.
Forcing myself to be normal I smiled and welcomed them "hey guys welcome, it's so nice to meet you" I introduced myself. I had to keep cool and professional this was my job.
"Hi nice to meet you!" Luke smiled, and shook my hand.
"I'm y/n I'll be taking your pictures this is Joey, he's going to take care of you outfits and this is Emma, she's going to help with posing and anything else needed."
"Well it's so nice to meet you y/n" Calum spook and shook my hand. Let me tell you the amount of feelings that went through my body was unreal it felt like nothing I've ever felt. Letting go of his hand Michael and Ashton said hi as well, also introducing themselves to Joey and Emma.
"Alright guys lets get you ready for your first part of the shoot, Joey is going to take you to get change in your first outfits" they nodded and went off to get ready, as soon as they were out of ear shot we began talking. "Oh my god Em... I can't believe we're doing a photo shoot for 5sos!" I exclaimed excited. I was a big 5 seconds of summer fan, Emma and Joey knew that, so this was kind of a big deal. To say I was nervous was an understatement.
       She laughed before replying "I honestly was not expecting that either, but did you notice that Calum couldn't take his eyes off you" she winked at me.
"Please Em I'm the last person any celeb would go for" I rolled my eyes. Don't get me wrong Calum is my Favorite member, but I know I would never have a chance.
"You never know y/n/n the world is a strange place" she smirked, finishing the props for the first set. Just as we finished talking all the boys walked back in, dressed in their first outfit.
      "Okay guys, are you ready?" They all nodded as Em got them in position and I began taking pictures.
     Half way through, we took a break and ate what ever food Joey had set up while we were taking photos. "Hey "y/n/n so my cousin just texted me back, and you're never going to believe who's performing!" She exclaimed excited and mischievously.
I gave her a weird look as I swallowed the bit of food in my mouth, "who?" She showed me the text and my eyes grew wide. I couldn't believe it.
'5 seconds of summer'
