Tell me if you love me,
Before the haunting silence,
Confirms the fears lurking,
In my heart.
A simple four letter word,
That would change everything,
In me and out if spoken ever so gently.
Tell me if you care,
Enough to whisper it now.
In the face of judgment,
So this awful war can end.
But,
You stand there,
As life less as a doll,
As still as the night,
Watching me with,
Those sorrowful eyes,
And you whisper...
