The body is a temple of lies,

from which the lips part paths,

From the mind and heart,

And the arms who loyally,

look after the childish hands,

(unable to stay apart).

The body is a temple of lies,

Where the legs come in a pair,

and the feet thread bare,

against the rough and uneven,

surface of men.

The body is a temple of lies,

and the eyes, dear God the eyes,

stare aimlessly into the soul,

and uncover from which

the secret of life.
