Gone

A/N: I guess this one could be considered a sequel of the last one. Anyways Y/n was shot and is on medical leave. This is longer than the other two so yay! I think medical leave is a thing, anyways to the story!

I was just chilling in my apartment like I do most of the time when I'm home. My roommate, Ashley, was gone so it was just me. I was on medical leave and wasn't supposed to go back to the BAU for a few days.

I was watching tv when there was a knock at the door. I turned the tv and walked up to the door.

I opened the door, "JJ, what are you doing here?"

"We need your help with a case" said JJ.

"I'm on medical leave. I'm not supposed to be back for a few days"

"Y/n, it's Reid. He's in trouble"

I grabbed my go back that I always had on the counter, "You should've just led with that"

I left my apartment with JJ and locked the door. We headed to airport and met up with the rest of the team: Hotch, Prentiss, Rossi, and Morgan. Garcia was a part of the team but she doesn't really travel much.

Prentiss asked, "Y/n, what are you doing here?"

"Yeah you're not supposed to be back from your medical leave yet" said Hotch

JJ told them, "It's okay guys. I asked her for help on this case"

I asked, "By the way, where are we headed?"

"Vegas" answered Morgan.

That's where Reid is from. I was briefed on the plane. Reid has a rare vacation from work and used it to visit his mother in Vegas. He checked into a hotel but never checked out. He was last seen visiting his mother. Diana Reid didn't know her son was missing. I didn't want to be the one to tell her.

Garcia called us while we were on the plane, "Guys, this might be bigger than Reid just going missing"

"What do you mean?" asked Morgan.

Garcia told us, "There have been three other cases of guys going missing on vacation and then their bodies showing up a few days later in the dumpster of the hotels they were staying at. All of them are white and around the same age as Reid"

JJ said, "Send us the information, Garcia. We'll look at it once we get there"

Morgan pointed out, "So if it is the same unsub, then they'll be at the hotel Reid was staying at"

Hotch made a plan, "Alright. When we get there, Morgan and Rossi can check out Reid's hotel. JJ, Prentiss go to the sanitarium. Y/n and I will go down to the station. See what we have on the case and if it connected to the others"

And that is exactly what we did. Hotch talked to the lead detective on the case. I pulled up the information Garcia sent about the other victims.

Christopher Jones: He was visiting his brother in Ohio and his brother reported him missing after he failed to show up to dinner. His body was found outside a Hampton inn a few days later.

Zachary Smith: He was visiting his girlfriend in Seattle and when was reported missing by his girlfriend when he didn't show up for a date. His body was found outside of a Double Tree hotel three days later.

Marcus Hill: He was on vacation in Miami with a bunch of friends. He was reported missing after his friends couldn't find him the next day. His body was found outside of a Hyatt four days later.

All three were shot in the heart. There were signs of torture before they died. Whoever took them kept them alive for days before finally killing them. If the same unsub took Reid, that meant he was still alive.
