(I wrote this so long ago)

You found a back way in. You were surprised no one else found it. When you got in, the unsub had a gun pointed Maeve. Reid was clearly doing his best but it wasn't working.

When she moved the gun, you knew what was about to happen. Before she could pull the trigger, you shot the psycho b*tch dead right in the back of the head.

You holstered your gun, everyone was looking at you. Luckily the bullet didn't go through her and into someone else. It just went into the wall.

"Nice shot" remarked Rossi.

"Thanks" you said.

Your phone started ringing. Thank god, that didn't happen a moment sooner. You stepped outside, over the dead body and answered it.

The voice on the other end said, "Hey, it's Nate. I just decided to call and make sure we're still on for tonight and that you don't have a case"

You told him, "Yeah, we're still on for tonight. I actually just finished a case"

"Okay, that's good. How far away is your case?" asked Nate.

"It's local and it wasn't an official case so I don't have any paperwork work to do so 8 still works for me"

"Okay, great. I'll see you then"

"See you then"

You hung up on Dr. Nate Heywood (not a medical doctor, he has his PhD in history) and turned to see Morgan.

"Sounds like someone's got a date tonight" teased Morgan.

You told him, "That's because I do and it's with a cute doctor. It's a set up. He's a friend of my cousin, Sarah"

You had been trying to go out with him for a few weeks now but work just kept getting in the way.

Morgan joked, "You really have a thing for doctors, don't you?"

He was saying that because you used to date Doctor Spencer Reid. You first started dating after sharing a room in Alaska. But after Prentiss faked her death, it was too hard for you guys to go on so you broke up. The problem was you still loved him.

You told him, "Shut up"

"I'm only saying it cause it's true"

"Look I would love to stay and chat about my love life but I have a date to go to. I'll see you and everyone else tomorrow"

You didn't have to leave that early to make it to your date but you didn't want to stick around to talk to Reid and Maeve.

You went back to your apartment and got ready for you first date with Nate. You had heard nice things about him from Sarah. You knew he loved Indiana Jones and was a hemophiliac.

This date would be your first since you and Spencer broke up. It was a little pathetic considering Spencer has had a girlfriend for the past ten months but you wouldn't say he and Maeve were dating considering they've never been on an actual date.

Your date with Nate went pretty well. Dinner was nice and he's a great guy but.... he wasn't Spencer.

Awful thing to think but it was true.

You thought even though you could tell you still somehow weren't over Spencer that you should Nate a chance. What is a better way to get over a heart break than a new guy?
