(Hi I've been thinking about writing this for the longest time and just wanted to put it out here as soon as possible!)

CRYSTAL METHYD WAS PROBABLY THE MOST PECULIAR PERSON YOU WOULD EVER MEET.

The twenty four year old woman was what many people would describe as "insane" and she wore that title like a badge of honor.

She lived in a small apartment in Springfield Missouri,  she made sure that her and her Siamese cat named Trinket could have the most comfortable life as they possibly could.

Her apartment had one bedroom, she luckily made enough money from her artwork to sustain a comfortable lifestyle for herself without having to depend on others, she definitely wasn't the richest in town and if she had to categorise herself financially it would be like 0.1 before middle class. Which was pretty good judging by the expense of everything in The United States.

Each one of her rooms were painted a different bright colour, and she somehow managed to fit pillows in every single room she had. Even the four chairs in her kitchen had little small pillows that she had made herself resting on them.

Her closet typically consisted of some type of button up shirt and the weirdest pair of pants she could find, she liked to wear the clothes she knew that old ladies would stare at and then complain about how much 'the kids these days were changing' and she loved that. That was the reaction she hoped for.

Jan sport; Crystal's best friend who had just recently moved to LA, got a new number and everything. Crystal disagreed with it immensely she told her that "getting rid of her Missouri number means she has never lived here before" in which Jan had to issue with giving her slander and making fun of her for it, calling her a "dumb bitch" multiple times. And that came from Jan, who was literally branded by being a dumb blonde.

So whenever Crystal accidentally put a '6' instead of a '7' into her phone when placing Jan's contact into it, it really wasn't a huge surprise. That was because Crystal didn't notice of course, just putting it in and saving the contact without a second glance or thought.

Crystals mishap came upon her attention at seven thirty on a Wednesday afternoon whenever she was walking home from a convenience store, clicking on Jan's contact and ringing her to tell her about the confection that she had just purchased.

All that was heard from down the phone line was a small squeak of "Wh-" and before they could even get a full word in Crystal was already interrupting them.

"Okay so Jan... basically I got that weird 'tonight dough' Ice cream you told me to try and it turns out it has peanut butter in it" and then a slight pause was heard from Crystals end before she spoke again "I might be deathly allergic to it but it was like five bucks and I'm not wasting it."

As she awaited an answer Crystals purple converse patted across the pavement as she walked towards her apartment complex, she was luckily enough to live in an apartment complex close by a few little convenient stores, and she was thankful for it in moments like these whenever it was freezing outside but she craved ice-cream.

"I'm not Jan..." a soft voice spoke, It taking a few moments for Crystal to register what they had said to her before she mumbled a quiet "fuck" and then a "not again."

"Not again?"

"Yeah?"

"You've done this before?"

"Yeah..."

Crystal was somewhat humiliated that she had managed to- for a third time; call a random number and start speaking to them.

"Anyways.." the voice sounded unsure from down the line as they spoke "diva... I don't know who you are but I definitely wouldn't eat that ice cream..." the way the person spoke so smoothly and confident all of the time, even through the phone Crystal felt insecure comparing her semi squeaky voice to theirs.

"I paid five bucks for this! And I already started eating it... so I can't even get a refund" Crystal stated, taking a bite out of the coldness as she entered her apartment complex, a small sigh was heard coming from her phone as she did so.

"Well it appears as if you are a very clumsy person" they stated, Crystal could hear the playfulness in their voice and she chuckled softly, making her way into her apartment, kicking her shoes off on the way in.

The wrong calls she had made had been quick and awkward encounters- she wasn't sure why this person was allowing it to go on for so long but she wasn't opposed to the virtual company.

"Very that" Crystal agrees, wagging her tail at her cat who leisurely saunters it's way into her kitchen where she sets her bag of snacks down on the counter, setting her phone on speaker and down on her counter "uh... stranger what are your pronouns?"

A question Crystal would usually ask on social media apps like Instagram or twitter, it was weird actually asking that to somebody in real life as most of the people Crystal hung around with she had knew since high school and didn't need to ask questions like that for them.

"She/her" the woman replied back, she sounded oddly optimistic and Crystal just shrugged at the woman's calm, happy demeanour, about to reply back before she felt the nails of her cat began jagging into her feet, small mewls leaving her mouth to let Crystal know that she wants food "well... miss stranger doctor lady person... it was lovely meeting you but Trinket is eating my toes, so I have to feed her!"

The lady couldn't even get in a last word before Crystal hung up the phone, trotting her way over to the cupboard where she put her cat food getting ready to feed Trinket, her mind occasionally drifting over to the soft voice of the girl on her phone, perhaps it was because she was gay and definitely read too many fan-fictions, but she kept thinking about her.

What an odd Wednesday evening.
