Elizabeth's POV

I pulled away from him and intertwined my fingers with his. The cold wind nipped at my skin chilling me to the bone even though I had a jacket on. Niall let go on my hand and I looked up at him in confusion.
"Here babe, wear my jacket," he says as he pulls it off of him.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to freeze," I look up at him again.
"Yes. I will be fine." He says as I put it on. We intertwined our fingers again and continued to walk.
We walked in silence. Not an awkward silence, more like a peaceful silence. I looked down to our intertwined fingers. I must be the most luckiest girl in the world. I may of had a terrible past, but having Niall in my life makes me want to live for him. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here right now.
"Babe? Are you okay?" Niall asks like he can read my mind.
"Yeah, just thinking."
"About what?" He seems a little nervous.
"About us. Just how we're lucky to have each other." I smile at him.
He smiles a toothy grin at me and wraps his arm around me.
We continued to walk in silence. As we near the office, I could feel someone watching me.
"Hey babe!" Niall and I turned our heads to see a group of guys hanging out in a parking lot across the street . There was about five of them.
All of them were watching me. It was like they had no where else to look besides me. As I got closer to the office doors, I got a better look of who they were. I could feel my face go pale. I didn't want to be here. I wanted to run. Run far away but I knew I couldn't. It's was the guys who bullied me, beat me, and harassed me for the past four years.
I kept walking towards the building with Niall by my side. I got to the parking lot and I saw the guys walking over to us.
"Hey babe, long time no see," the one with the perfectly styled hair quiff said trying to get to me.
"Get the fuck away from me you bitch!" I spat at him as I ran quickly to the door and it was locked. "Fucking shit."
"Hey babe come here, you know you love me," another kept cooing as they ended up cornering me
"Elizabeth, what the fuck are they talking about?" Niall was getting mad.
"Niall, please go." I pleaded Niall, "Niall, you need to go."
"No! I'm not leaving without you!" he shouted fairly loud causing all the guys turned and looked at Niall.
"Niall. Niall Horan? Is that really you?"
"Luke Hemmings. Haven't seen you in a while. Why the fuck are you messing with my girl?" Niall suddenly became very protective.
"Your girl?" Luke smirked. "Have you properly fucked her yet?"
"No, bu-"
"Ha! Well I have and damn she is fine," Luke kept his chill. "She has this sweet spot that when you hit it she'll scream!"
Calum had pushed me against the wall holding my mouth shut and my arms above my head.
"Yeah, I've fucked her too and let me tell yo-" Calum spoke but Niall interrupted.
"Shut the fuck up Calum! You only decided to rape her 'cause your girlfriend died and you needed to get your mind off your girl!" Niall was furious.
"That's it you bitch!" Calum lunged at Niall.
I stood there a second to catch my breath and to register what was happening.
Niall was fighting with Luke and Calum.
I turned and saw the 3 other guys running towards the fight.
I had to stop this.
I got in the middle of Calum about to punch Niall and Calum ended up punching me straight in the jaw.
"Shit!!" I fell to the floor holding my jaw in agony.
"You hit my god damn girl! Your gonna fucking pay!" Niall hit Calum straight in the jaw and he fell to the floor. Luke went down with Calum and Niall came running to me.
"C'mon babe, let's get you home."
I was crying violently in Niall's arms.
Niall hailed us a taxi and he crawled in and then I crawled in after him. I curled up and put my head on his lap.
Niall didn't look beat up at all. His hand lightly stroked my beat up cheek. His pressure sorta increase, and I flinched.
"Shit, I'm sorry babe," he grabbed my hand and kissed my knuckles. "What happened between you, Luke, and Calum?"
"T-th-they raped me," I said in the slightest whisper.
"They what?!" Niall practically shouted.
"They've been my school bullies all four years of high school." I broke down in Niall's arms.
The vehicle stopped and I looked up and saw that no one was home. Niall and I got out of the car and he carried me to my front door. He ran back and paid the cab driver. I unlocked my front door and walked in on my mom banging a guy.
"What the fuck mom?!" I ran out and down the street. Niall chased me to the park. I sat on the park bench and just cried into my hands. Niall sat there and then pulled me to his chest as I cried into his chest.
I felt something poking my shoulder and I looked up and saw the little girl from a few weeks ago in a big coat and owl hat.
"Are you okay?"
Inside I was dying to say yes, but outside all I said was, "No."
"Oh, well I wanted to give you this and a hug," the little girl said while giving me a big hug and handing me a note.
"Aw, thank you! What's your name?" I gave a weak smile.
"My name is Elizabeth, what's your name?" she was probably the cutest girl on the planet with her dark brown hair in pig tails and her cute little pink dress.
"Mine name is Elizabeth too," I smiled slightly.
I sat up from Niall's arms and gave her a big hug.
"You remind me of my mom," she looked down.
"Aw, how?" I put my thumb on her chin and lifted her head up.
"You have those things on your wrists. My mommy had those and then she couldn't take it anymore so she tied herself in a rope. I never understood why," she started to cry. "My mom said that people who had those are going through a lot."
"Hey, Elizabeth? You need to stay strong for your dad, okay? He needs to see that you are a strong little girl," I tried choking all that up but tears were flowing down my cheeks.
"Okay, and you keep battling your battles! Bye Elizabeth!" she gave me a final hug and skipped over to her dad.
I looked up at Niall and smiled.
"I love you Niall, thanks for putting up with me. Can we go to your house? I just walked in on my mom banging another guy," I started giggling at my words.
"Yeah we can go to my place, and Elizabeth?"
"Hmm?" I looked up at him.
"I love you more."
