(Hi I have a new Crygi book out!! Go read it if you'd like I think I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this new one!!)
CRYSTAL HAD ORIGINALLY EXPECTED HER MEET-UP WITH GIGI TO GO AWKWARDLY.
So whenever the brunette was being tugged into a random thrift store by the red head, she was confused to say the very least.
Gigi had pulled her out of the small cafe and told her that 'she was bored' and that she wants to do something 'interesting' which resulted in Crystal's hesitant self being tugged into a small store named "banjo's clothes." The strong scent of different sugary herbs filled the room and Crystal almost immediately assumed the store was run by a stoner based on the healing Crystals used in decoration.
"Don't tell Nicky I came to a thrift store she will cut my tits off" Gigi mumbled, Crystal nodding her head to confirm that she wouldn't to the girl as Gigi almost immediately making a B line to the back of the fairly empty store where all of the materials looked much brighter.
Crystals eyes glanced upon the colours hanging up on the different racks, some of the garments reminded her of the stuff she used to wear- giving her another whiplash of nostalgia.
Gigi's eyes glanced at the girl, she had heard the term "comfortable but uncomfortable" and now she understood what it meant completely. The look on Crystal's face was indistinguishable and a small wave of guilt washed over Gigi "Crystal... hey, we don't have to stay here if you don't like it in here. I don't want to make you uncomfortable." Gigis pale hand reached out to softly caress Crystal's arm as she said so.
Crystal inhaled softly at the soft touch from Gigi's arm "n-no Geege it's okay." The curly headed girl sent a tight lipped smile over to Gigi's direction and Gigi couldn't prevent the blush from heating up her cheeks at the nickname.
Something about the way Crystal said it, or maybe it was just the name in general but it created a small fuzzy feeling at the bottom of the redheads stomach, and she silently cursed herself for feeling like this already when it had barely been a day of her seeing Crystal again.
Gigi's eyes came across some different fabrics, varying of all different patterns folded neatly in a pile and rested upon a wooden shelf, deciding to sort through the different fabrics and pick some up for herself to test out new designs that she had been drawing on, something she often did for entertainment.
Crystal's brown orbs landed on a red jacket, one similar to the colour of Gigi's hair except it was somewhat suit like, and it's shoulders were pumped out at an absurd extent. The red jacket had black glitter lining the edges of it, and some little spots of yellow on it right by the neckline. Crystal loved it.
Crystal's style had evolved drastically, even she knew that herself. The simple pair of black Mom jeans and a white T-shirt was extremely simple, she would have never wore anything like that Jacket back in Michigan. Alan had repeatedly told her to blend in, that it looked better for business and just on her, so she took that advice and decided to push that into everything she did.
The girl was pushed out of her thoughts by the soft hand of Gigi's gently pressing against her shoulder as the taller girl walked up beside her, having a pile of about ten different fabrics shoved messily into her other arm, holding them tight into her chest so that they wouldn't fall out of her death grip.
"Are you gonna get it?" Gigi questioned, breaking the silence between the two girls in which Crystal almost immediately shook her head no. "Not my style" she mumbled, her eyes glancing over the jacket as she spoke and Gigi shook her head with a small exasperated sigh "Crystal... diva, if it's not your style why have you been staring at it for like ten minutes?" She asked, bringing a sense of humor to Crystals words in which Crystal chuckled at softly, nodding her head; basically confirming her already true statement.
"I'll get it for you" Gigi mumbled, moving her pale hand off of the other girls shoulder and grabbing the jacket from the rack and staring at it, leaving Crystal speechless for a few seconds.
"Gigi don't be dumb... it's not even that important, it's not like I need it." Crystal stated, laughing dryly whilst attempting to grab the jacket out of Gigi's hands, Gigi pulling the jacket back further "It's December right?" She said rhetorically, in which Crystal felt the need to quirk her eyebrow up in confusion at the redhead who just smiled teasingly "the season of giving!" And before Crystal could get another word in Gigi had sprinted her way across the store to the front desk.
Gigi plopped all of the different velvet fabrics down onto the desk, lifting out her purse so that she could lift some cash out to pay as Crystal rushed up behind her, face red from the run around all of the clothing racks and the fact that the nice old lady at the till just watched her bump into a mannequin on her way over, drawing stares from the old couple silently shopping.
The greying woman began to scan all of the things that Gigi had placed on the desk, scanning Crystal's soon-to-be jacket first, then moving swiftly onto all of the different fabrics, most of them being different reds and blacks.
The woman first spoke up as she got onto the last fabric piece scanning it "why so much fabrics, do you do fashion or something?" She asked, trying to strike up conversation with Gigi as she placed everything in a flimsy bag.
Crystal was going to answer for her beginning to speak up with a "ye-" but before she could say anything she was cut off by Gigi speaking, a small smirk on her face as she did so.
"I wish, my partner here loves being restrained in the bedroom!" She said enthusiastically, wrapping her arm around Crystals neck and pulling her to the side of her hip.
Crystal was going to kill her. As Gigi handed the woman the money she reluctantly took it a small squeak of an "oh" leaving her mouth as she rushed to get Gigi the five dollar change, grabbing it out of the cash register and shoving it into Gigi's hands as quickly as she possibly could, Gigi moving her arm from around Crystal's neck to grab her change and the bag.
"Thanks ma'am!" Gigi exclaimed before turning away, Crystal following suit with her face almost resembling a tomato, listening to the woman murmur a soft "god bless" as they left the store.
