Cato? I have to fight Cato? Well obviously the strongest member of the career pack had to be him, but Glimmer's words still managed to shock me-- and by the looks on everyone else's faces, it shocked them too. Even Clove who always seemed unscathed, looked somewhat anxious for me. But I wasn't nervous. In fact, I like fighting the bigger guys. You look like a badass when you win, and I always win.

Sure the big guys usually had the weight and height advantage, but they're always slow and sloppy. I've learned this during my many times I had to stand up for Copper at school, he wasn't always the big and strong "stud" he is now. In fact, Copper used to be shorter than me until we were 14, I still tease him about that... Anyways,
Glimmer then stepped out of the ring and took her place beside Marvel, smirking and crossing her arms. God, I can't wait to wipe that smug look off her face once I beat Cato, or better yet, I beat her in the arena. My own big-headed thoughts get the best of me once again, as I fail to notice Cato preparing himself to fight nearly three feet infront of me.
I step back a little. Ok (Y/N), what have you gotten yourself into this time. I should have just let Glimmer have her moment I begin to realize, as Cato slowly moves back and forth, his fists raised and clenched ready to break my jaw. His breath seaths through his teeth as if he were ready to rip my throat out of my neck. Too bad for my "ever growing ego" as Copper likes to refer to it.

I slowly breathe in, steadying myself and assume my position once again. Cato remains in his low stance, swaying back and forth. I need him to make the first move, and he does.

Cato leaps at me throwing a punch, his fist just grazes the small hairs on my cheek as I duck. Cato huffs, wiping the beads of sweat from his brow. I quickly swing my leg around as he's still recovering, just managing to take out his feet.
Cato lays on the ground, slowly pulling himself back up to his knees. I hear sounds of surprise and gasps all around me, I can't help myself but tear my eyes away from Cato to bask in everyone's astonishment, as I contain a grin.

But God was that stupid of me. Cato uses my distraction and punched the back of my knee hard. I could have sworn I heard a crunch. I crumple to the floor as the sharp pain shot so far up my leg I could feel it in my spine. I squeeze my eyes shut letting my body lay limp on the floor. My breath is heavy and weak but I'm not done yet.

I open my eyes at the warm air fanning over my face. Cato hovered above me, his hands pressed to the ground on either sides of my head. He only grins at my moment of vulnerability. Cato really was a cocky asshole. He almost reminds me of myself, figures...

Cato leans in even closer so our noses barely touch. His breath is warm against my skin causing a shiver to run through my body. I glare at Cato, ready for whatever cocky comment about our current position he's about to make, but it doesn't happen. Instead he peers up at our audience, then looks down at me once again, his eyes flicker over my lips, and Cato moves closer. Oh? So Cato wants a show...
Suddenly, I put my lips on his and his body presses against mine. The rush is euphoric, I want to savour this new feeling but quickly I thrust my body forward as Cato is distracted, pulling myself over him and reversing our positions. I straddle his waist, then quickly press my forearm to Cato's neck as if to choke him. He only smirks in return to my scowl, as our crowd gawks at the odd display infront of them.

We stay in this position a moment longer, panting before the tributes begin to subtley applaud me. I catch Jacob's eye and he only laughs clapping and shaking his head. I even hear a wolf whistle, which causes me to immediately spring up.

I roll my eyes and wipe my mouth on my arm as I pull myself off of Cato, attempting to distract from my probably, very red face. I brush myself off then out of respect, offer my hand to Cato, who accepts. I pull him up and he looks down at me, still smiling cheekily. I shake my head and huff. Then my shoulder is grabbed and I'm turned around. I expect it to be Glimmer ready to spit in my face or some shit, but instead I'm met with Clove. I look down at her surprised, in which she smiles and says.

"There's a spot on the career team for you if you want it."
