Feel free to play the music throughout the whole chapter, there's no specific spot that you need it. This was the song I listened to while picturing Yume's dream. I wanted it to feel calm and light but give the feeling of being a little wary. I think this song went well with that I was trying to give off (Skyrim ambience is one of my favorite writing playlists).

Also, for those who didn't see my community tab, I was more or less taking a break from all social media unless I truly felt motivated. This was due to a ton of weight being thrown on me with limited school, this stressful pandemic, and the sudden loss of a close family member. So I'm so sorry this took so long to finish, let's hope I can be a little more motivated from now on.

Enjoy the chapter!

Lands of silver grass stretched out before me, coated in the fragile and gentle light of the full moon above me.

I felt a gentle tug on my back and I looked behind me to see two small owl wings the same color as the moon. I gently fluttered them, then giggled.

Dreams were so odd.

I wandered down the hill, letting the Greek tunic I was wearing brush against my legs. There was no wind, no sound. Just silence and comforting stillness.

I came up on a single tree, twisting and beautiful, in the center of this endless field. As I approached, I noticed little objects in the grass at its base.

A toy horse, created from white wood and worn. It seemed to be coated in dust, like the child who once played with it hasn't touched it in years.

A satchel, black leather and light brown string holding it together. It held nothing, just sat there empty and unused.

A ring, like that of an engagement, silver and inlaid with the most beautiful ruby. It was almost hidden in the grass, as if the wearer wanted it to be forgotten.

The glint of metal caught my eye and I turned, blinking at the item said glint came from.

A mask, one that covered only the wearer's face around their eyes. Created from silver and inlaid with a darker substance that carved striking designs into the opposing metal, maybe obsidian?

I gently scooped it up, and held it with care between my hands. I suddenly heard wind whistling in my ears, and felt it billowing around me, underneath my wings and slamming into my face. My stomach lurched like I was falling from a high height, and my body felt cold from the onslaught of wind not allowing it to warm. I blinked, and the sensations were gone. I glanced around, and realized that my tunic was still being disturbed by wind, though more of a breeze.

I turned and looked up, spotting a small being, like a bird but far away, drifting down from the sky opposite of the moon towards me. I gently held the mask in my right hand as the being landed a few feet away.

As it stood, I realized it was a man who looked to be the same height as Shun, though I somehow knew he was younger than me. His hair was strikingly white, like that of Hyoga's snow. His eyes were red, like the ruby on the engagement ring still hidden in the grass. He wore a black Cloth, inlaid with some grey and a rare dash of red. The falcon wings behind him were as dark as the shadows surrounding us, blocking out the gentle moonlight.

He studied me for a moment, and I simply stared back. Was this man part of my dream or was he someone of my past?

"Both." The man answered, surprising me. His voice had a slight echo to it, not exactly matching with his rich, Greek accented voice. "Your thoughts echo like that of a lost miner in a cave."
