04 - The rise of Voltron: The blue lion

Third person pov

The team of 6 arrives at the location with Hunk's new device. 

"... OK. I admit it. This is super freaky." Lance said.

"I'm getting a reading." Hunk said as the device leads them to a cave with ancient carvings.

"What are these?" Shiro asked.

"These are the lion carvings I was telling you about. They're everywhere around here." Keith explained. Lance approached the carvings and touches it causing all the carvings to light up blue, surprising everyone.

"Whoa... Whoa!" Lance said.

"Lance, what did you do?" Alyssa yelled.

"Uhhh... I touched the wall?... " Lance answered.

"They've never done that before." Keith told everyone. The ground beneath the 6 collapses and falls into a cave of water. 

 "They are everywhere." Lance said as everyone got up and in front of them was a giant robotic blue lion with a force field surrounding it.

 "Is this it? Is this the Voltron?" Pidge asked the rest.

"It... must be." Shiro responded but Alyssa wasn't too sure. 

"This is what's been causing all this crazy energy out here." Keith said as he approaches the blue lion with the rest of the team following behind.

 "Looks like there's a force field around it." Keith said.

"Yeah, no shit sherlock." Alyssa replied earning a glare from Keith.

"Does anyone else get the feeling this is staring at them?" Lance asked.

"Hmm... No." Shiro replied.

"Nope." Alyssa said popping the p.

"Yeah. The eyes are totally following me." Lance said.

Keith ran up to the force field followed by Alyssa, he tapped the field but no reaction. "I wonder how we get through this." Keith said to Alyssa who was now standing to his side.

"Maybe you just have to knock." Lance said and literally knocks on the force field the team then sees an image of Voltron being formed by 6 lions in their minds. 

"Woah..." everyone said.

"Uh, did everyone just see that?" Lance asked.

"Voltron is a robot! Voltron is a huge, huge, awesome robot!" Hunk yelled excitedly.

"And this thing is only one part of it! I wonder where the rest of them are." Pidge asked.

"This is what they're looking for." Shiro said.

"Incredible." Keith said.

"The F—" Alyssa was cut of by Shiro putting his hand over her mouth, which Keith thought was amusing to watch.

"Nope." Shiro said.

The blue lion suddenly lowers its head and open its mouth scaring Pidge, Hunk and Lance. "Heck yeah!" Alyssa said running into the lion's mouth, who was soon followed by the rest of the team. 

Lance walks past Alyssa towards a seat and sat down, Alyssa was about to go forward but was yanked backwards by Keith.

"Don't run off like that." Keith scolded Alyssa, Alyssa just shrugged annoying Keith. 

"Whoa, did you guys just hear that?" Lance said.

"Hear what?" Keith asked.

"I-I think it's talking to me. Hmm... Um..." Lance said, he then started pressing a few buttons causing the blue lion to stand up and roar. "OK. Got it. Now let's try this."

The lion smashed out of the cave flying doing somersaults.  "YOU ARE. THE WORST. PILOT. EVER." Keith yelled.

"FEEL SORRY FOR PIDGE AND HUNK, THEIR ON HIS TEAM." Alyssa yelled over the others  screaming at Keith accidently falling into him. 

"Make it stop! Make it stop!" Hunk yelled.

"I'm not making it do anything. It's like it's on autopilot!" Lance replied.

"Then turn it off!" Alyssa gritted through her teeth. 

"I don't know how." Lance admitted, the blue lion starts heading towards the sky.

"Where are you going?!" Keith asked.

"I just said it's on autopilot! It says there's an alien ship approaching . I think we're supposed to stop it." Lance answered annoyed at Keith.

"What did it say, exactly?!" Pidge asked.

"Well, it's not like it's saying words, more like feeding ideas into my brain. Kind of." Lance said unsure.

"OMG how did we get stuck with an idiot like you?" Alyssa said.

"Well, if this thing is the weapon they're coming for, why don't we just, like—I don't know, give it to them? Maybe they'll leave us alone. Sorry, Lion, nothing personal." Hunk suggested.

 "You don't understand. These monsters spread like a plague throughout the galaxy, destroying everything in their path. There's no bargaining with them. They won't stop until everything is dead." Shiro said then everyone looked at Hunk.

"... Oh. Never mind then." Hunk said awkwardly. The blue lion leaves Earth's atmosphere and a Galra warship suddenly appears causing everyone to gasp.

 "Uh... Holy crow! Is that really an alien ship?!" Hunk asked.

"They found me..." Shiro gasped.

The Galra ship starts to fire at the blue lion and they start to dodge the attacks.

"Be careful, man! This isn't a simulator!" Pidge reminded Lance.

"Well, that's good. I always wreck the simulator." Lance said.

"If we all die we blame it on Lance." Alyssa said Pidge, Hunk and Keith nodded as Shiro facepalmed.

"Let's try this." Lance says as the blue lion uses its claw to tear the warship's side.

"Nice job, Lance!" Shiro praised.

"Oh, no!" Hunk said.

"They're gaining on us!" Pidge added.

"It's weird. They're not trying to shoot us. Th-They're just chasing." Lance said.

"OK, seriously, now we think having aliens follow us is good? I am not on board with this new direction, guys." Hunk said.

"Where are we?" Keith asked.

"Edge of the solar system. There's Kerberos." Shiro answered.

"How's that possible?" Alyssa gasped.

"It takes months for our ships to get out this far. We got out here in five seconds." Pidge said in disbelief. Suddenly, a wormhole appeared before them.

"What is that?!" Hunk asked.

"Uh, this may seem crazy, but I think the Lion wants us to go through there." Lance said.

 "Where does it go?" Pidge asked. 

 "I-I don't know. Shiro, you're the senior officer here. What should we do?" Lance asked.

"Whatever's happening, the Lion knows more than we do. I say we trust it, but we're a team now. We should decide together." Shiro answered, everyone looked at each other in silence.

"... All right. Guess we're all ditching class tomorrow." Lance said then the blue lion entered the wormhole and it closed before the Galra warship could follow behind them.
