10 - The fall of the Castle

Third person pov

After the team defeated the gladiator they invite the Arusians to the castle, where the Arusian's preformed a play to recall the event.

"Your Highness... please accept this gift. This will allow you to contact us anytime you need help. will be the first planet in the Alliance." Allura said handing the Arusian king an Altean communication device.

"We ought to get something like that." Hunk said to Lance, Keith and Alyssa.

"Like what?" Lance asked.

"You know, like, a cheer. Like, a team cheer that we do." Hunk answered.

"Mm-hmm. Yeah, okay. How about, uh... I say 'Vol' and you say 'Tron.' Vol—!" Lance said to Keith.

"Uh... Vol-tron?" Keith said confused as Alyssa shook her head.

"No! No, no, no, no, no. The cheer includes the instructions. I say 'Vol' and you say..." Lance explained once more.

"... Vol-tron?" Keith said still equal confused as the first time.

"... We'll work on it." Lance said drinking some liquid from the cup in his hand and is disgusted. "Coran, what is this?"

"Oh, this is Nunvill, the nectar of the gods." Coran said.

"It tastes like hot dog water and feet." Lance said as Alyssa put her cup back down on the tray after hearing his comment.

"Yeah, makes a wonderful hair tonic as well." Coran said as the sprinkles some on his moustache and it grows luxuriously. Alyssa watched curiously as Shiro leaves the castle wondering what he was going through his head.

Allura's pov

"Look at them, the new Paladins of Voltron. The fate of the universe is on their shoulders." I said to the mice as I watch Keith and Hunk laughing, "... I must portray strength, so no one can tell how concerned I am about the fate of our mission."

"Let's... keep that a secret." I answered as one of the mice communicated with me, "Who else has secrets?"

The mice start to act out the Paladins secrets.

"Hunk tried to eat what? That is rather amusing. What other secrets?" I asked as they continued to act, "That seems like Lance."

The mouse then ruffles it's head and it's fur looks like Alyssa's 'bangs' ... or that's what she called them. 

"Alyssa and Keith? ... actually that makes sense." I slightly shouted their names as I look for Keith who is still with Hunk and then at Alyssa who was walking towards Pidge.

The mice started acting again and my eyes widened.

"Pidge is a what!?" I ask as I see Pidge sniffing his earwax, "Hmm... Are you sure?"

"I'm getting to the bottom of this." I say walking off after the mice nods in confirmation.

Alyssa's pov

"So, Pidge, we haven't had a chance to really... talk. Tell me about yourself." Allura said as she approached me and Pidge.

"Hmm... Well, I like peanut butter, and I like peanut butter cookies, but I hate peanuts. They're so dry. Also, I sweat a lot. I-I mean, in general, unrelated to the peanuts." Pidge said then she tried to walk away but Allura stopped her.

"I-I suppose I was thinking of something a little more personal?" Allura said winking "We have a lot in common."

"Like what? Pidge asked as I watched awkwardly.
