"Evans! Hey, Evans! EVANS!"

I turned on my heel and glared at James. "What, Potter?"

James grinned and ran his hand through his already crazy hair. "Will you-"

"No." 

"But I just wanted to ask if you'll-" 

"No." I said again, striding down the hall with my books clutched tightly in my hands. I heard James running after me, but I turned right and ducked into the girl's toilet. Locking myself in one of the stalls, and placed my books down and sighed. 

*insert Belle(Reprise) here* 

~End Flashback~ 

~Time skip to when the two idiots are together, brought to you by Hermione and her Time-Turner~ 

"Lily!" I hide my smile as I hear James call my name. 

"What now, Potter?" 

James smiles and shoves his hands into his pockets. "Now I'm just Potter, am I?" 

I grin and nod. "I was just thinking about your fruitless attempts to ask me out every year." 

James's smile becomes wider and he points at me. "Aha! So you daydream about all the times I tried to ask you out!" 

I roll my eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." 

He sits down next to me and takes my hand. 

"When did you actually really start considering saying yes?" 

I bit my lip and braced myself. "Well. . . . . . I started to think I liked you around when we got Wolfstar together at the start of sixth year-"

"WHAT?!?"

"- but I didn't want to believe it, so I was in denial for about a year probably." 

"You've liked me since sixth year and I've been on a wild goose chase for so long for nothing?!" 

"Pretty much."

"I- what- just- wow. Wow." 

"In my defense it was very entertaining."
