The cafe was really nice, and so was the staff. The booth Adrien had chose for them to sit at had a window, it was nice outside. The sky was cloudy and it wasn't really hot but it had a nice warm breeze.

Adrien had ordered two hot chocolates and some Cinnamon sugar cookies. The thought of it made her mouth water, although it really wasn't a meal for lunch, it was perfect for the weather.

"So, last time I told you a little bit of my back round... if it's okay with you, I'd like to know a little bit about yours." He said, Marinette smiled a little. "There's not much to know. My life probably isn't as exciting as yours..."

Adrien found his life unexciting. The story might've been intriguing but he had been nothing but bored all those years in his room with nothing to do but piano, fencing, and chinese, Latin, or Spanish lessons. Every. Single. Day.

It was true he learned 7 languages, he was excellent at fencing and piano. But no matter what, he would trade anything just to have a normal childhood. "My life isn't as exciting as others would think..." He said, in a matter of fact tone.

Marinette shrugged, "My parents both loved baking, it was only natural for them to fall in love. About a year after they had gotten married, they had me. I was always interested in fashion."

Adrien could listen to her all day, the way her face lit up when she talked about her family was golden. Or when she talked about her passion for designing, it was like listening to a song, that he could play over and over again without ever loosing interest.

The waiter served their order, Marinette took a sip of her hot chocolate. "Wow, this is perfect." Marinette said, Adrien bit into a cookie, "How often do you come here?" She asked. Adrien shrugged, "Like every other month or so."

Marinette and Adrien continued their small talk, enjoying each other's company despite their past. It had started to rain before they exited the cafe, Adrien used his jacket to cover Marinette, getting drenched in the process.

Marinette giggled as they made it back to the school, safe under the shelter of the school building. They sat across the steps, waiting for the bell to ring. Marinette stared at the side of his face, memorizing his handsome features.

His atoms apple bobbing as he gulped, his eyes focusing on the setting in front of him. A cloudy sky and rain that collected into the cracks and creases of the road and cement.

Her eyes trailing across his sharp jawline that lead to his perfectly smooth lips, water dripping from his bottom lip due to the rain. He had a defined button nose and mesmerizing emerald green eyes.

Perfectly shaped eyebrows and damp silky locks of golden blonde hair. She didn't get how some could be so good looking, so handsome and...

He didn't even need to try.

He smiled a little, as he faced her, her pink lips slightly parting. Her throat suddenly dry as his eyes locked on hers. His eyes shifting to continue to follow the trail of freckles that spilled across the plain of her nose.

Her slight blush made them look soft and beautiful. Her porcelain skin was crystal clear and contrasted against her blue-black hair and gorgeous blue bell eyes. His lips curved further into an admiring smile and her heart skipped a beat.

"You're really pretty, you know that? You're eyes are beautiful." Marinette looked to the side, a small smile making it's way across her pink glossed lips. "Can I ask you something?" She said looking up at him.

He nodded, just as she was about to speak the bell rang. "O-oh... I guess it'll have to wait." She said, standing up and taking the coat off her shoulders, "Here's your jacket." She said handing holding it out for him.

"Keep it. You'll be cold." Marinette perked a brow, "What about you?" She asked, he smiled and slipped the hoodie over her head, ruffling her hair. "Since when did you care?" Marinette glared at him.

He chuckled, "I'm joking, I'll be fine, blue." She smiled, walking closer to him and kissing his cheek. "Thanks for today Adrien... and this." She said referring to the jacket wrapped around her figure.

A small blush crept across his cheeks, as Marinette offered him a genuine smile and walked off. He could've passed out any moment now. Did Marinette Dupain-Cheng just kiss his cheek? And say thank you to him?

He couldn't explain the utter aching in his chest as his heart skipped a beat. His knees suddenly felt weak, bringing his lithe fingers towards his cheek where her lips had once been. He could just collapse any second now.

"Dude what happened to you? And why aren't you wearing a jacket?" Nino asked, nudging his best friend's shoulder. Adrien grinned, "Marinette kissed my cheek..." He said in a flustered tone, sighing. Nino laughed.

Marinette smiled as she walked off, she wanted to ask herself what she was thinking doing such a thing. But she didn't regret kissing his cheek, she knew that deep down. So why fight with herself?

It was just a... Sudden realization towards her... enemy? Acquaintance? Of course it certainly was not a crush... but hopefully in the future they would be more than just, enemies.

She brought her thin fingers up to her lips, a small blush coating her cheeks as she thought about what had happened moments before. "Someone's flustered." Alya chimed, slinging her arm around her besties shoulder.

Marinette giggled. "Tell me everything." Alya said as they began walking to class.
